control standards which apply to all Somfy products. Though battery-powered
window coverings have been on the market for years, rechargeable lithium ion
(Li-ion) batteries may seem new to some. Rest assured that this technology is
reliable, time-tested and has been proven successful in many
products such as cars, laptops and phones –
this amazing technology is now available
for motorized window coverings!

1) How long will shades operate before the Li-ion batteries need to be charged?
Users can expect approximately 1 year of shade operation before the batteries need to be charged. This is based on an
average shade size of 72” x 72” that is operated one cycle per day.

2) How may shade cycles can I expect per charge?

500 -Somfy products use high quality Li-ion batteries that have been tested to power 500 up/down cycles per charge.
This will vary based on the size, weight and how frequently the shade is used.

3) How many times can the Li-ion rechargeable batteries be charged?

500-Somfy tests including load, radio sleep/wake and overall lifecycle testing indicate that Li-ion batteries can be
re-charged approximately 500 times which provides extended, reliable operation.

4) Will I ever need to replace the Li-ion rechargeable batteries?

Like all batteries, Li-ion batteries may eventually require replacement. An increased frequency in charging of shade may
suggest that the battery is slowly degrading. Should you experience this, the Li-ion batteries will likely need to be replaced.
However, replacing Li-ion batteries used in Somfy products is available through trained professionals/Somfy Experts. This
allows users to continue to use their Somfy-powered shades and avoid the costly replacement of the entire system.

5) Are Somfy-powered products warrantied?

Yes. Somfy offers end product suppliers a 5 year warranty on all motors and controls. Specifically, Somfy
warrants its motors and controls to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal and
proper use for a period of 5 years commencing with the date stamped on each product. If the Somfy product
fails within this 5 year period, we will repair or replace it free of charge through your end product supplier.

TELIS 1 RTS HAND-HELD REMOTES
Telis hand-held remotes offer convenient and simple operation of every type
of motorized application. Single channel remotes can operate one individual
product or one group of motorized products.

Examples:
• Use the single channel to operate the motorized blinds above your sink.
• Use the single channel to operate the group of motorized roman shades
in your dining room, to raise and lower them at the same time.

TELIS 4 RTS MULTI-CHANNEL HAND-HELD REMOTES

Five channel remotes offer more functionality because they offer an additional
4 channels of control. Each channel can still operate one individual product, such
as a single motorized awning, or one group of motorized products, such as all
the motorized shades on the first floor. With a total of five channels, you can set
the preferences that suit your life.

• Use channel one for your motorized awning.
• Use channel two for the motorized drapery in your living room.
