Engineers to be engaged on Fixed Tenure Basis for a period of 01 year with the
provision for extension on yearly basis up to additional 02 years as per the policy. The

SELECTION PROCESS:
The Selection process shall be as under:

A. The selection process will be carried out in accordance with NHPC’s Rules and Procedures
for Contract Employment on a Fixed Tenure Basis.

B. A preliminary screening of documents will be undertaken to shortlist candidates in line with

the eligibility criteria specified in the employment notification. The mode of selection shall be
Personal Interview only, applicable exclusively to those candidates who are found eligible
after preliminary document verification and subsequently appear for the personal interview
following physical verification of documents.

C. The decision of NHPC with respect to the scrutiny of applications and shortlisting of
candidates shall be final and binding. Shortlisted candidates must secure the minimum
qualifying marks in the Personal Interview to be considered for inclusion in the panel for
engagement. The qualifying marks shall be:

b.) In addition the contract personnel shall be entitled for Conveyance reimbursement,
Communication expenses, travelling allowance, Medical Benefits, Leaves etc. as per the
NHPC Rules & Procedures for Contract Employment on Fixed Tenure Basis.

PLACEMENT:

Candidates will be placed at the place of posting mentioned at Table-A. The posting shall be
non-transferable.

HOW TO APPLY:
1. Only eligible candidates can register online in NHPC’s website www.nhpcindia.com
against advertisement number NH/Rectt./FTB/04/2025-26
2. Candidates belonging to UR/EWS/OBC (NCL) category are required to pay a non-
refundable fee of 500/- plus applicable Taxes (i.e., Rs.590/-). Bank
Charges/Processing charges including GST (if any) shall be extra and to be borne by
the candidate. The SC/ST/PwBD/Ex.SM/Women category candidates need not pay the
registration fee. Fee once paid will not be refundable under any circumstances.
Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility & correctness of information
on Application Form before paying the registration fee.
3. Candidates are advised to keep their e-mail ID active at least for one year. No change
in e-mail ID will be allowed once entered. All future correspondence including issuance
of Offer of Appointment (if selected) etc. shall be done through e-mail only.
Responsibility of receiving, downloading and printing of information, communication etc.
will be of the candidate. NHPC will not be responsible for any loss of email sent due to

4. Read the instructions carefully and fill in the On-line application form giving accurate
information. After filling it, system will generate a Unique Registration Number of
NHPC. Candidates should keep ready scanned copies of their certificates in PDF
format in a separate file as given in step no. 4 under head “STEPS FOR APPLYING” of
100 KB to 400 KB each. Passport size color photograph and signature in JPEG format
of less than 50 KB size and 30 KB size, respectively. The scanned copies of certificates
should be readable otherwise candidature shall be treated as rejected.

5. Candidates can visit the online registration website from 10.00 hours of 18th
August, 2025 to 17.00 hours of 08th September, 2025.

 (c) Caste Certificate should be in format prescribed by the Government of India. In case
of OBC candidates, the community certificate should have been issued by the
competent authority/ notified authority within 06 months for OBC (if applicable) at
the time of registration.
(d) Disability certificate issued by competent authority (if applicable).
(e) A certificate for conversion of grades / CGPA to percentage of marks shall be
based on the procedure certified by the University / Institution from where they have
obtained the Bachelor Degree.
(f) Declaration related to reported medical ailments/ deficiencies/ abnormalities and
declared UNFIT by any Govt. authority / PSU during medical examination. (if

(g) Declaration related to Arrest/ Prosecution / Detention / Conviction/ Debarred /
Disqualify by any Public Service Commission from appearing in its examination. (if

(h) Declaration related to Candidates that he has not been previously dismissed,
removed or compulsorily retired from the services of the company or department of
a state or central government or local authority or from Public Sector Undertaking
or an autonomous company. Also, the candidate have to declare that he/she has

RESERVATIONS AND RELAXATIONS:

01 Reservation for SC / ST / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / PwBD (degree of disability 40%

or above) will be as per the Govt. Norms & Directives.
02 No registration fee will be charged from SC/ST/PwBD/Ex.SM/Women category
candidates.
03 SC/ST and PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates who have secured
a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination are eligible to apply, provided a
vacancy exists for their respective category against the advertised post.
04 Reserved category candidates desirous of applying for the posts where the vacancies
are not reserved, should apply against UR vacancy.
05 For the Unreserved (UR) vacancy, SC/ST/EWS/OBC(NCL) candidates can apply
subject to meeting with all general standards of eligibility.
06 The upper age limit is relaxable as per Government guidelines, subject to the post being
reserved for the respective category: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC
(Non-Creamy Layer) candidates. For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), the

 relaxation is 10 years for General category, 13 years for OBC, and 15 years for SC/ST
candidates.
07 The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for the candidates who had ordinarily been
domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.
08 The relaxation of age for Ex-servicemen shall be as per Government guidelines.
09 Candidates seeking reservation as SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/ Person with
Disability (PwBD) (degree of disability 40% or above) will have to upload Certificate
only in the prescribed proforma meant for appointment to posts under the Government
of India from the designated Authority indicating Caste, the Act/Order under which the
caste is recognized as SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and the village/town the
candidate is ordinarily resident of.
10 Candidates seeking reservation under EWS will have to submit an income & asset
certificate issued by a Competent Authority. The closing date for submitting income &
asset certificate by the candidate will be treated as the closing date of online
application. The prescribed format and the competent authority have been given in the
Department of Personnel & Training Office Memorandum No. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res)
dated 31.01.2019.

Medical Fitness:

Selected candidates should be medically fit as per the extant guidelines of NHPC.

Liability to declare

a.) Candidates with reported ailments, deficiencies or abnormalities and also those with
finding of not meeting the physical fitness criteria as above shall make a declaration to
this effect while submitting their application. (See FAQ)
b.) A candidate found UNFIT for a position during medical examination by any other
Government Authority or any other PSU, shall be required to declare his/her medical
condition with reasons for being declared “UNFIT”. If the candidate applies / seeks
employment/ engagement in NHPC, suppression of such information may render the
candidature liable for Rejection. (See FAQ)
c.) Candidates have to necessarily declare in case he/she has been arrested, prosecuted,
kept under detention or fined, convicted by the Court of Law for any offence,
debarred/disqualified by any Public Service Commission from appearing in its
examination. (See FAQ)
d.) Candidates have to necessarily declare that he has not been previously dismissed,
removed or compulsorily retired from the services of the company or department of a
state or central government or local authority or from Public Sector Undertaking or an

GENERAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS:

01 Only Indian Nationals of age 18 years or above are eligible to apply.

02 The candidate should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria and other

 time of Personal Interview/ Document Verification. Before applying, the candidate
should ensure that he / she fulfils the eligibility and other norms mentioned in the
advertisement. If a candidate is shortlisted, based on the information given by him / her
and does not fulfil the same / meet the criteria, he / she will not be allowed to join the
company or attend the Personal Interview process.
03 All computations of age requirement/ qualifications shall be done w.r.t. last date of
receipt of online application as mentioned in the advertisement.
04 For the post of Medical Officer, all qualifications should be from Universities/ Institutions
recognized and approved in India. However, In case of qualifications acquired from
foreign Institutes/Universities, the same shall be treated at par with qualifications
offered by Indian Institutes/Universities provided candidates are able to produce
equivalence certificate for such qualifications from the Competent Authority and will
submit the certificate of passing the qualifying examination from Medical Council of
India/ NMC. The degree of MBBS should be compulsorily registered with UGC/Medical
Council of India.
05 For eligibility to the post of Medical Officer, the candidates should have obtained the
Registration Number from Medical Council of India/NMC/State Medical Council. The
marks obtained in screening test (FMGE) shall only be considered as Aggregate
percentage of marks for shortlisting of candidates with qualification from Foreign
Institutes/Universities.
06 The engagement of candidate is purely temporary in nature & on contract basis for an
initial period of 01 year. The contract period may further be extended on yearly basis for
02 more additional years depending upon the work requirement and performance of the
candidates. The contractual engagement will automatically be terminated on expiry of
12 months or on completion of extended period.
07 If any certificate etc. is issued in a language other than Hindi/English, candidates are
advised to submit a certified translation of the same in either Hindi or English at the
time of Interview, if called for.
08 In case of more than one online registration by same candidate, the application (or
registration ID) against which fee is deposited shall only be considered for further
scrutiny. In case more than one online application with fee is deposited then the last
registered application shall only be considered for further scrutiny. Similarly, where
application fees are not applicable (SC/ST/EX-SM/PwD/Women), the last registered
application shall only be considered for further scrutiny.
09 Candidates called for interview (for FTB Post) shall be reimbursed Third AC rail/bus
fare (as per actual) by shortest route (minimum distance of 30 KMs) for to & fro journey
provided they meet the laid down criteria of Employment Notification.
10 Complaints attributable to the incompatibility of the Client Systems, ignorance of users,
non-availability of internet connectivity or any other aspects beyond the direct control of
NHPC employees or systems will not be entertained.
11 The contractual engagement will be regulated by Company’s rules and administrative
orders that may be enforced from time to time during the period of engagement.
12 The candidate engaged will not be entitled to claim for any regular employment in
NHPC or any relaxations in case of any recruitment for regular posts in NHPC.
13 Incomplete applications / applications without application fees (if applicable) will be
rejected.
14 Candidature of the registered candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of

 by the candidate, is found to be false or is not found in conformity with eligibility criteria
mentioned in the advertisement.
15 Candidates employed with Government Departments / PSUs/ Autonomous Bodies
have to attach scanned copy of NOC along with testimonials with their application form.
In case NOC is not ready till the last date of application form, then they will have to
produce it on the date of Personal Interview. Failure to produce NOC will lead to
cancellation of candidature.
16 Candidate working in Private sector must produce ITR/PF slip (as applicable) in support
of salary in addition to salary slip.
17 Shortlisted candidates will be intimated about the Personal Interview Schedule with
detail of date, time and venue or any other communication through E-mail only.
18 A valid Email ID is essential for submission of online application. NHPC is not
responsible for bouncing of any email sent to the candidate.
19 Training/ Internship period will not be counted as experience.
20 NHPC reserves the right to cancel/modify/restrict/enlarge/alter recruitment process,
without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereof.
21 NHPC reserves the right to increase / decrease the vacancies as per requirement.
22 Recruitment Process will be as per NHPC Rules and Procedures for Contract

23 In case of any ambiguity / dispute, arising on account of interpretation in version other
than English, English version will prevail.
