1. Who is eligible to apply for the Entrepreneurship Loan?


Any AdtU student currently pursuing a Diploma, UG, PG, or PhD program.
2. Can I apply individually or only in teams?
You may apply individually or in a team. Teams can have a maximum of 6 members, with one team leader.
3. How much loan amount is available?
You can avail up to ₹50,000 as an interest-free loan to support your entrepreneurial venture.
4. Is the loan interest-free?
Yes, the loan is completely interest-free for selected applicants.
5. Do I need to have a registered company to apply?
No, you can apply with a validated business idea even if your startup is not yet registered.
6. How do I apply for the loan?
Submit your application through the AdtU A-Connect portal under the Entrepreneurship & Incubation tab.
7. Do I need approval from faculty or department?
No formal NOC is required at the time of application, but mentorship from faculty will be encouraged
during execution.
8. How will my idea be evaluated?
Proposals will be evaluated based on innovation, feasibility, market potential, and clarity of execution.
9. Can I apply if my business idea is already being incubated elsewhere?
No, ideas already supported by external funding schemes or incubators are not eligible.
10. Do I need to submit a business plan or financial forecast?
Yes, you must submit a basic business proposal including your plan, budget estimate, and use of funds.
11. What happens if my business idea changes after application?
You can update your proposal during evaluation, but major pivots must be approved by the review
committee.
12. Is there any mentorship or support after receiving the loan?
Yes, mentoring support will be provided by Down Town Venture Labs, E-Cell, and DISA during
development.
13. What can the loan amount be used for?
Funds can be used for prototyping, tech setup, product development, marketing, legal registrations, etc.
14. Will I need to repay the loan?
Yes, repayment terms will be agreed upon at the time of sanctioning. The loan is interest-free but must be
returned.
15. Can I apply for the loan more than once?
No, each student/team can apply only once per loan cycle.
16. Can I use the loan to scale an already running business?
Yes, if you're a student and the business aligns with the program's intent and requirements.
17. Can I reapply if my proposal is rejected?
Yes, you can reapply in the next cycle with a revised proposal.
18. Are final-year students eligible to apply?
Yes, as long as they are enrolled at the time of application.
19. Can the loan be used for non-profit or social entrepreneurship ideas?
Yes, if the idea shows a clear value proposition and sustainability model.
