COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course discusses various psychological disorders, theories about its development
among children and adolescence. This also provides overview on how the disorders are
diagnosed, assessed including treatment and intervention.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
1. Shows in-depth understanding the different child and adolescent psychopathology.
2. Familiarize and accurately demonstrate assessment core skills to client’s concerns.
3. Design appropriate intervention plan.

PRESENTATION FLOW
1. Present the background, overview, and criteria of each condition.
2. Present psychological assessment tools for each condition.
3. Present current and possible interventions for each condition.
4. Present one case that covers the diagnosis, assessment, and intervention in the
presentation.
5. You are given a 1-hour presentation for the entire discussion.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Attendance and participation: case analysis/assessment, diagnosis, prognosis and
treatment plan formulation and other scheduled activities
2. Facilitation of an assigned topic from the list of disorders with sample cases for practice
in diagnosis, assessment, prognosis and treatment planning
3. Case Study/Analysis, Case Formulation and Psychological Report
4. Not less than 12 hours of supervised case management in any chosen mental health or
psychiatric facility
5. Group discussion and sharing of research outputs
6. Oral Case presentation, review and deliberation
