Vessel Name : 36M Multicat
Owner/Operator : Bayt Marine FZ-LLC
Inspection Site : PT. Sentek Indonesia
Inspection Date :
Classification Society : Bureau Veritas (BV)
Reference Standards : BV NR467, BV NI525, ISO 9712
1. Purpose
This procedure outlines the standardized approach for conducting Non-Destructive Testing
(NDT) on the 36-meter Multicat vessel to verify structural integrity and compliance with
Bureau Veritas classification requirements.
2. Scope of Inspection
The inspection encompasses the following structural components:
Hull plating and framing
Weld joints (internal and external)
Propulsion shaft and rudder assembly
Fuel and freshwater tanks
Deck plating and support structures

4. Inspection Equipment
All equipment used shall be calibrated and certified in accordance with BV and ISO
standards.
High-resolution inspection camera and borescope (VT)
Penetrant and developer kit (LPI)
Magnetic yoke and dry/wet particles (MPI)
Ultrasonic flaw detector with calibrated probes (UT)
Radiographic source (X-ray or gamma) and imaging system (RT)
5. Personnel Qualifications
All inspection personnel must be certified under ISO 9712 Level II or III for the respective
NDT method.
6. Inspection Procedure
1. Surface Preparation: Clean all inspection areas of contaminants, coatings, and
debris.
2. Equipment Calibration: Verify calibration against reference blocks or standards.
3. Testing Execution: Conduct NDT as per method-specific procedures.
4. Evaluation: Assess results against BV acceptance criteria.
5. Reporting: Document findings in the official inspection report.
7. Acceptance Criteria
Based on BV NI525 and NR467 standards:
Surface cracks > 3 mm: Reject
Weld porosity > 10% of weld area: Reject
Plate thickness < 90% of design spec: Requires repair

8. Sample Inspection Report
Component Method Result Status Recommended Action
Port Hull Plate UT Thickness 9.2 mm OK –
Deck Weld (Aft) LPI Crack 4 mm NG Weld Repair
9. Corrective Actions and Re-Inspection
All components marked NG must undergo corrective repair.
Re-inspection shall be performed post-repair using the same NDT method.
Final report to be submitted to BV surveyor for verification and classification
endorsement.
