Part A
Answer any six questions out of Eight.
Each question carries 5 marks.
1. Identify the different lines in the given illustration
2. Draw a plain scale of 2m=4cm, and show on it 10m.
3. What is representative factor ? Explain the various types of scales.
4. Explain in detail first angle orthagraphic projection. Sketch the first angle projection of a
cube.
5. Using a rough sketch explain the construction of development of a cone.
6. What do you mean by perspective projection?

Part B
Answer any four questions out of six.
Each question carries 10 marks.
9. Explain the different types of lines and their application in engineering drawing with proper
drawings.
10. Draw the projections of a pentagonal pyramid of side 20 mm resting on one of its base
edges on H.P. and parallel to V.P. The axis is parallel to H.P. The height is 60 mm.
11. Draw the projections by auxiliary plane method of a square pyramid of base side 30 mm
and axis length 60 mm when it lies on the ground on one of its triangular faces and the
axis is parallel to V.P.
12. Construct a conic when the distance of a point P between the directrix and the focus is a
constant of 30mm. Draw the curve if eccentricity is 5/3. Draw a tangent and a normal at
any point on the curve.
13. Draw the perspective view of a cube of 80 mm side having its one corner of the edge on
the ground plane and the other corner of the edge resting on the picture plane such that
the edge is inclined at 30° to the picture plane. The other two edges of the corner are
equally inclined with the picture plane. The station point is 100 mm in front of the picture
plane, 150 mm above the ground plane and lies in a central plane which passes through
the centre of the cube.
14. Explain the following terms :- Strokes, Texture, Tone, Outline
(4×10=40)
Part C
Answer any two questions out of Four.
Each question carries 15 marks.
15. A cylinder 50mm dia. and 70mm axis is completely penetrated by another of 40mm dia.
and 70mm axis horizontally. Both axes intersect & bisect each other. Draw projections
showing curves of intersections.
16. A cylinder 60mm dia. and 80mm axis is completely penetrated by a square prism of 30mm
sides and 90mm axis, horizontally. Both axes intersect and bisect each other. All faces of
the prism are equally inclined to HP. Draw projections showing curves of intersection.

17. Draw the isometric view of the object whose orthographic projection are given below.
18. A cone of base diameter 60mm and height 75mm is lying on HP on one of its generators
with its axis parallel to VP. Draw the plan and elevation of the solid. Also draw axonometric
view.
