The Great
Number Challenge
Directions: Using the numbers 2, 0, 2, and 5 in order, create expressions that are equivalent to each of the
numbers from 0-10.
Some things to know/remember:
• In math, the ! means factorial. For instance, 5! means 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1. Also, 0! = 1
• Feel free to use any mathematical operation to create your target number: you may add, subtract,
multiply, divide, use absolute values, exponents, square roots, negative numbers, and factorials!
• You can also use parentheses, brackets etc.
• Any number to the zero power is equal to 1

Directions: Using the numbers 10-0 in order (left to right), try to create an expression that, when evaluated, is as close as
possible to 2025 without exceeding it. Like the previous challenges, you may use any mathematical symbol and it may
be beneficial to remember that 0! =1.
How close can you get to the number
