Dear Candidate,
With reference to your application, you are requested to report for MDes interview at
0830 Hrs on 28 May 2025 at Department of Design Dimond Jubilee Academic
Complex, IIT Kanpur. Please note that the interview will be technical. Questions shall
be broad-based as well as in specialization as indicated by you in the application.
Bring your 03-best portfolio, original certificates, mark sheets and original
GATE/CEED scorecard (Exempted for candidates from the CFTI's). If you belong to SC,
ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, or PH category, then you must bring the original certificate
supporting your category. If you are presently employed, then you should produce a
‘NOC’ at the time of the interview from your employer. For candidates applying under
the External/Part Time/ Sponsored scheme, kindly bring a sponsorship certificate and
NOC from your parent institute/organization in the original.
Note : You have been shortlisted for interview on the basis of data provided by
you, If any discrepancy is found later, your candidature will be rejected.

Please bring a print-out of this letter and a valid photo ID proof (i.e. Aadhar card
or Pan card) for entry into the IIT Kanpur.
The Campus is situated on G.T. Road about 18 Kms. away from the Kanpur Central Railway Station. You
can come from the Railway Station (via platform No. 9, city side) to IIT Kanpur by taking a tempo/electric
bus to IIT Main Gate (~ Rs. 35/- per person). No Travelling Allowance (TA) will be paid to candidates.
