1. You looked at the policies of the East India Company in class viii and
the effect they had on different people. Kings, queens, peasants,
landlords, tribals, soldiers were all affected in different ways. Do you
think such conditions prevailed in France. Elaborate adding the

2. Democratic Republic of Congo is the world's largest hunger crisis,
fueled by over 25 years of conflict and endemic poverty. 26 million
people are severely hungry today. Do you believe such a situation

6. The French Revolution opened up the possibility of creating a
dramatic change in the way in which society was structured. In
many parts of the world including Europe and Asia, new ideas about
individual rights and who controlled social power began to be
discussed. The developments in the colonies, in turn, reshaped
these ideas of societal change. Identify two countries citing the
impact of Collaboration and communication rendered by the
philosophers and leaders in creating awareness amongst the
common people during Russian Revolution. [3]
7. The revolutionary journalist Camille Desmoulins wrote the following
in 1793. He was executed shortly after, during the Reign of Terror.
Some people believe that Liberty is like a child, which needs to go
through a phase of being disciplined before it attains maturity.
Quite the opposite. Liberty is Happiness, Reason, Equality, Justice, it
is the Declaration of Rights You would like to finish off all your
enemies by guillotining them. Has anyone heard of something more
senseless? Would it be possible to bring a single person to the
scaffold without making ten more enemies among his relations and
friends?

NAZISM AND THE RISE OF HITLER
14. The peace treaty at Versailles with the Allies was a harsh and
humiliating. Do you agree that this treaty had changed the fate of
Germany? How? [3]
15. Born in 1889 in Austria, Hitler spent his youth in poverty. When
the First World War broke out, he enrolled for the army, acted as a
messenger in the front, became a corporal, and earned medals for
bravery. Evaluate the character traits of Hitler.
