1. Choose a religion that is followed in South Africa. It can be your own or a
different religion.
2. Research the following about that cultural group
Religious beliefs and places of worship.
How they celebrate important day (holidays and festivals).
Traditional meals (special food they eat or clothing they wear).
Any other interesting facts about the religion.
3. To find information you can interview people, use newspaper articles,
magazines or the internet. Use the rubric on the next page to guide you.
4. First plan your project.
5. Write out your information carefully and neatly. Try to include pictures to
make your project interesting and easier to understand.
6. Include the symbol or the religion somewhere in the project.
7. Hand your project in time.
8. Prepare a two to three minutes’ oral on the information you have found for
your project. You can bring items to show the class to make your oral more
interesting.
