Specimen Nature: EXCISION
Specimen Site: LEFT BREAST
History: Breast lump (left breast). On examination no secondary lump in supraclavicular region with opposite both
axilla clear.
Gross: Specimen container is labeled with the patient's name and medical record number.
Received in formalin are multiple tan white multilobulated previously surgically incised breast lump measures
50 x 45 x 25 mm. On serial slicing reveals tan white multilobulated cut surface with areas of clefts. Nearest
distance from outer inked resection margin red is 1 mm. Representative sections are taken and submitted in
blocks (A-C).

Micro: Section reveals circumscribed fibroepithelial tumor. The epithelial component comprises compressed ducts
lined by cuboidal epithelium with intact outer myoepithelial layer. These ducts are surrounded by hypocellular
fibrotic stroma. There is no evidence of epithelial or stromal atypia. The stromal component does not show
atypical mitosis, necrosis or stromal overgrowth. There is no evidence of in-situ or invasive malignancy.
