Song: Lord, teach us to pray

LORD, TEACH US TO PRAY. TO SPEAK WITH OUR FATHER GOD.

LORD, TEACH US TO PRAY, TO OPEN OUR HANDS BEFORE YOU.

1.- Pray with a clean heart, that only sings for You, with the gaze set
in You, letting You speak, Lord.

Pray seeking the truth. Close your eyes to see. Let ourselves be seduced,
Lord, to walk in your footsteps of peace.

2.- Pray by speaking to you, about your silence and your voice. About your presence that

is warmth, let us be discovered by You.

Pray also in dryness. Hands on your shoulder, Lord. To look at you with
sincerity: here we have you talk to us.

Reading of the Word: Luke 22:39-41

Then Jesus went out and, as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives.
His disciples followed him. When they arrived there, he said to them: Pray that you may be able to

face the test. He moved away from them like a stone's throw, he
kneeling and praying.

Motivation

Like the disciples, we want to follow Jesus on this special night.

To continue learning from his words and gestures. To accompany him.
in this difficult hour. To discover him by accompanying us in all hours
from our life, the happy ones and the hard ones, the memorable moments and
also those in which we succumb to weakness. For, in all of them,
find the way of the disciple, of the friend.

Teresa of Jesus approached Jesus in the Garden of

Olives
I had this way of praying, which, as I could not think with the ...
understanding, I sought to represent Christ within me; and I found myself
better –in my opinion– from the parts where I saw him more alone. It seemed to me that

me, who being alone and distressed, like a needy person, had to
admit to myself. I had many of these simplicities; especially I

Admonition

Tonight is Easter night. We begin a long night. The night

of fear, of doubt, of imminent suffering. The night of the arrest of
Jesus, of the interrogations, the insults, the condemnation. The night of the
negations, of the flight, of the disciples who do not understand. The night of
path to death. In broad daylight, darkness will take over
the city, from the heart of Jerusalem that will look on, impassive, the
death of an innocent, the Son that God has sent into the world, rejected
and executed. Even the sun will darken in the middle of the day. But this
night -we know- precedes an everlasting light. After that night
The first day of a new creation, of a new humanity dawns,
able to stretch off sin, to rise up from his prostration, from his
history of injustice and violence, of awakening to the truth of God. In
In the middle of this night, amid his bitterness and terror, Christ

to his disciples.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
because they will be satisfied.

(Brief silence)

Warning

On this night, Jesus joins his fate to that of those who weep and thirst for
justice, so that the smile of God may appear on their faces. And
surrendering, it opens the way to a justice that is not vengeance, of a
peace that can reconcile everyone, innocent and guilty, from a
salvation that reaches all.

Reading of the Word: Philippians 2:1-8

Have among yourselves the same feelings as Christ: He who,

being of divine nature, He did not eagerly grasp equality with God. But
who stripped himself of himself taking the condition of a servant becoming
similar to men and passing through one of many. And he humbled himself
same obeying unto death and a death on a cross.

Song: The Lord is the hope of life and pain and His love is the
Word that illuminates the heart.

Reading of the Word: Matthew 5, 7-9

Blessed the merciful, because they will reach

mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called

children of God.

(Brief silence)

Monition

On this night we want to be with Jesus, we want to be his disciples,

with him enter into bliss, with him, understand the meaning and the
radicality of mercy, of the cleansing of the soul, of construction
of peace. As he lived them until giving his life, without resisting, for

if I can provide any service,
if I can say something well said,

If I can fix a human error,

if I can give strength to my neighbor,
if I can brighten it with my song,
Tell me how to do it, Lord.

If I can help a miserable person,

if I can ease any burden,
if I can radiate more joy,

the heavens; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets
previous to you.

(Brief silence)

Admonition
It is the last Beatitude, perhaps the most difficult to understand. How
be happy amidst misunderstanding, persecution?

Christ is the answer. The abandonment of Jesus into the hands of the Father, that

Exhortation

On this night, we present our prayer to God. We make ourselves the voice of
so many who cry, who are hungry and thirsty for justice, who suffer.
We give thanks for so many who build peace, share, reflect
mercy and cleanliness of soul, for so many who live their fidelity until
the end.

With each invocation, we respond by singing that it is good to trust in Him.

Sir, it is good to wait on the Lord

It is good to trust in the Lord, it is good to hope in the Lord

Shared prayer

Our Father
