Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra was a Spanish soldier, novelist, poet, and playwright.

He is considered the greatest figure of Spanish literature and is universally known.


for having written The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha (commonly known
like the Quijote), which many critics have described as the first modern novel and a
of the best works of universal literature, in addition to being the most published book and
translated from the story, only surpassed by the Bible. It has been nicknamed
Prince of Wits.

TIME
The novel is inspired by the era of the golden centuries (15th/16th). Spain was under the
mandate of Alfonso VI. Marriage during this time was very arranged.

ARGUMENT

In the deceitful marriage, Lieutenant Campuzano tells his friend Licenciado.

MOST RELEVANT SCENE

For me, the most relevant scene is when Estefanía tells the truth to the gentleman.
