Suggestive Program for 13th Saturday

Objectives

Strengthen the 13th Saturday program in the Church.

2. Value the study of the Sabbath School Lesson.
3. Show the needs of the Division that is being supported.
4. Encourage an excellent offer of 13th Saturday.
5. Involve the Children's departments in the programming of the 13th Saturday.

Organization

1. Gather the board of the Sabbath School always in the middle of the Quarter to
we will organize the entire program for the 13th Saturday. Also invite the teachers, the

pastor and the 1st elder.

2. Pray and ask God that the program will be a blessing for the life of the church.
3. In this meeting, talk about the objectives of the 13th Saturday program and the proposal of

to have a special, differentiated program.

4. Present the different parts of the program and together choose key people.
who will be responsible for each Block (there will be seven blocks).

a) Praise and Music Block

Opening Block
c) Block of Curiosities or Special Moments
d) World Mission Information Block
e) 13th Saturday Offer Block
f) Lesson Block
g) Closing Block
5. In a second meeting (at the beginning of the last month of the quarter), hold the meeting.

with the leaders, responsible for each block, and present the ideas. Listen to the

their ideas and finally define how the block will be and also the time of
each part.
General duration of the program: 1h40. Start at 8:50. End at
10:30
7. Required materials:
a) Typical clothing of the Division that is being helped this quarter for the couple
of Receptionists, for the director and/or presenter and for the participants
World Missions Informative.
b) Souvenir upon arrival (with the theme of the quarterly lesson).
c) Souvenir for the end of the program (with the theme of the region that will

receive the offers).

d) Prizes and curiosities for raffle.
e) Decoration (with the theme of the lesson or the World Missionary Informative).

f) Clothes and illustrations for children.

Program:

Praise and music block

a) I suggest that in the previous moments a team leads the worship or invites someone.

ensemble or quartet to present two or three musical messages.

b) During the praise, it could teach a little song in the language of the countries that are going to

receive the offers.

c) Put the lyrics of the chorus on the big screen. If there is no projection, make copies.

small paper is handed out to everyone so that they can sing together.
d) If there is someone to play the chorus on the guitar or piano, that would be nice.

e) Your program may be filled with three musical messages. I suggest

put the children to sing.
A song from the Kindergarten;
A song by the Primaries;
A song from the Youth.

2. Opening Block
a) Forget about making a traditional opening, reading the manual and greeting well

wind
b) I suggest that the Sabbath School start with a reference to the theme of the
Quarterly lesson.
c) Opening: Narration and Dramatization of the Theme of the Quarter.

3. Block of Curiosities or Special Moments

You can use only some of these ideas.

a) Repeat the chorus teaching to sing in the language of the country they are going to.

offers.
b) Ensinar duas ou três palavras na língua daquele país: Bom dia, Feliz Sábado,
How are you?

c) Sort the typical foods of the region where the offers will go.
d) Show photos of the geography of the region where the offers are going.

e) Call the couple of receptionists and the presenters and show the
characteristics of the clothing they are wearing, in which region it is used.

f) Present a report on the Adventist Church in that division (how many

churches, how many members, how many schools, etc.

4. Block of the World Missions Informative

This part must be very well taken care of, as it precedes the collection of the 13th month's offering.

Saturday. I suggest that it be done almost at the end of the Sabbath School when the majority of

Members have already arrived at the church. The young people can do this part beautifully.

a) One can record a video of the missionary letter and present it.
b) Create a newspaper with a desk and two interviewers who will interview the
involved people. Those who will respond must memorize their speech.
c) Choose the best person to present the informative that can be
enriched with photos, curiosities, illustrations of the region that will receive the

offers.

5. Saturday 13th Offer Block

This moment should be special. For it to be a success and for us to receive a good
amount to meet the needs of the region, I suggest the options:
a) Children collecting the offerings. They have the power to appeal and no one will let go.

to offer to a child. Children must be trained for this, they can

to be in typical clothing or clothing in the colors of the countries' flag
who will benefit.
b) Place the flags of the benefiting countries, drawn or printed on
paper in a special place in front next to a container, and everyone can
direct forward to deposit your offerings.
c) Bonus: Give a piggy bank to each child at the beginning of the term and in the
On the 13th Saturday, each child opens their piggy bank and deposits their coins into a

local special at the church pulpit. It would be interesting if the parents already told
before the value that each child will give.
d) Another tip: the deacons should tally the offerings during the service.
present to the church the collected amount.
e) After collecting the offerings, choose someone to say a prayer for the
offers and the projects that will be benefited.

6. Sabbath School Lesson Block

On this day the suggestion is not to take notes and the lesson should be presented from
special form and in less time so that the other parts of the program can
accommodate.

a) General Lesson with only five questions. The chosen teacher separates five
perguntas (uma para cada dia: de domingo a quinta), apresenta as respostas e
open for comments.
b) Choose five teachers and they will all have three minutes to present their ideas.
and the lessons of a day of the week.

c) Call 13 people. Each person says one of the 13 verses to memorize from the
trimester. The last person quotes the verse of the week and spends 10 minutes to

present the applications of this week's lesson.

d) General lesson and in pairs. In this idea, the teacher coordinates the lesson at the front and

prepare five questions. When discussing them, he says to the

members will join their neighbor and in pairs will have one minute to discuss it.

Later, some people are asked to publicly share their answers.

e) Complete the Reward Lesson. Accesshttp://redeadventista.com/rewarded-lesson-of-

sabbath school/, for more information.

f) Class Lesson with three creative activities:
Each member must make a drawing that best illustrates what they
learned during the week.

The director organizes a crossword with the key words of

lesson answers.
Seven questions of T (true) or F (false) and discussion.

7. Closing Block

For the conclusion, the suggestion is to allude to the lesson of the week.

a) We can have a banner with the theme of the quarter and each member comes forward
putting your name on the illustration. You can deliver a flower at the entrance or a card
where each person puts their name. While singing the final anthem with the theme of
quarter when the children present a song on the theme of the quarter, each
member comes forward and sticks their name on the banner.

b) Choose the adolescents and young people to do the closing with a quick
dramatization on the theme of the Quarter.

c) Churches that have a choir can delegate this task to the choir members. They
we can end the Sabbath school with the theme of the quarter and an appeal for everyone
I can read, study, and get more involved in Sabbath School more and more.

The ideas contained in this material are suggestive for a medium/large church. Everything
It can be adapted. In the case of a small church, use fewer people. Good
program for you and your team.
