ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF TECHNICAL DIRECTOR IN HARYANA POWER

GENERATIONCORPORATION LIMITED(HPGCL), PANCHKULA

Government of Haryana. Energy Departmen is pleased to invite applications for one

post of Technical Director in Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL)
on the following qualifications. experience, Age. period of employment and terms K
conditions:

1. NAME OF POST: Technical Director as Whole Time Director on the Board of

Directors HPGCL

2. SCALE OF THE POST:

Functional Pay Level-20(182200-224100) as per notification no. 1/2/2016(RP)-5PR(FD)
dated 28,10.2016(with Annual increment (@3%) or as revised from time to time.
3. AGE: On the date of advertisement
(i) Age no bar
(ii) The candidate should be in service
4 Period of appointment:
Two years with effect from the date of appointment or till 60 years of age, whichever is
earlier.
However, the minimum tenure shall be one year irrespective of the date of
superannuation.

An extension for another one year would be considered in case of outstanding

performance of the incumbent.
Essential Qualification & Experience
Qualification:
The applicant should be holding a BE/B. Tech. Degree or equivalent in
(Electrical/Electronics & Communications/ Electrical Electronics/ Mechanical Engg.)
from a recognized University/Institution.
Experience:
Candidate should have minimum 25 years' experience in power sector in an organization
of repute with wide experience in design, construction, operation and maintenance of
generating stations. Out of which, the candidate should have at least five years
experience in a Generation Utility. Two years experience out of which above five years
should be at the level of CGM/Chief Engineer/Executive Director or equivalent or on a
higher post (one year as Chief Engineer in case of internal candidate of
HPGCL/Haryana Power Utilities).

2) The selection of the Technical Directors would be made by the State Government on the
recommendations of the Sereening Committee of Haryana Power Utilities.

amended from time to time, same may be downloaded from the official website of
HPGCL i.e. www.hpgcl.orgin.
4) Powers to relax or amend any provisions of the policy will lie with Govt. of Haryana.

 Terms & Conditions of appointment of Directors in Power Utilities

Period of appointment One year with effect from the date of joining till
date of his superannuation or period of
appointment whichever is later.

2 Pay and allowances i) For the period till superannuation, i.e. from
to he will draw his pay in
the pay scale of Engineer-in-Chief & other
allowances as admissible from time to time.
Presently the Rs.67000/- (Алпual

ii) For the period after superannuation till the end
of the tenure as Director i.e. from to
he will continue to draw remuneration
on the last pay drawn minus pension.

3 Travelling Allowance He shall be entitled to traveling allowance at the

ratesallowed to Grade-I officers of the concerned
power utility/organization.

4 Medical Facility He and dependent members of his family will be

entitledto such Medical facilities as are admissible
to the officers of his status in concerned power
utility/organization.

5 Accommodation facility He shall be entitled to residential accommodation

owned/leased by the concerned power
utility/organization on payment of 5% of his basic
pay subject
to the condition that the excess of rent
over 5% of the pay shall be bone by the
concerned power utility/organization.

Leave & Leave Salary He shall be entitled to such kinds of leave
including casual leave as permissible to him under
the provisions of service Rule applicable to him.
However, he would be entiled for proportionate
casual leave for the balance period of his term as
Director after superannuation.

7 Other assignment So long he continues as Director in the concerned

power utilities/organization he shall not accept any
assignment other than that of concerned power
utility/organization without the prior permission of
the State Government.

8 Resignation He may resign his office by giving three months

notice in writing to the State Govemment The
Government may if thinks fit waive off such a
condition.

9 Leave Travel Concession He shall be entitled to Leave Travel Concession

according to rules/instructions of the State
Government/concerned power utility. The
expenditure in this regard, will be borne by the
concerned power utility.
