Our goal for learning how parents can use workshops is to guide parents through the
authoritarian style to raise young children. Authoritative parenting means that parents would
wish to make orders to their children without questioning it. Young children that are less
obedient are likely to face tough times through the parenting style. As an authoritarian parent,
you prioritize children to stick to the orders given, punishments, and control over nurturing your
child (Study.com, 2021).
Mistakes are frequently penalized brutally, and when feedback is available, it is often
negative. Physical harm and yelling are also common phenomenon forms of punishment.
Authoritarian parents criticize their children for their mistakes while disregarding their
accomplishments. They expect that the youngster will not make mistakes and will obey those
rules that they make (Study.com, 2021). Young children raised in this form of parenting tend to
be always quiet and attentive. I prefer a friendly tone, bright colors for the materials, and drinks
to create a relaxing atmosphere.
In conclusion, unlike permissive parenting environments, the authoritarian parenting style
involves many rules that do not create room for dialogue. It only sounds harsh to young children,
but the parents do everything to discipline their children. So, it is all about displaying essential
children's upbringing knowledge that the parents have in mind. In most cases, the parents copy
their parents' methods to raise them as they raise their children (Study.com, 2021).

While an authoritarian style may be helpful in some situations requiring tight obedience
to the rules, it can also have adverse outcomes when used chiefly as a preferred parenting style.
If you discover that your parenting style is more authoritarian, look for methods to include a
more traditional approach into your everyday interactions with your children. Overbearing
parents require complete compliance because the children raised in such environments are
usually highly excellent at following orders. They may, however, lack self-discipline. According
to 4 Types of Parenting Styles (2021), children raised by authoritarian parents miss the
opportunity to explore and act freely. As a result, they rarely understand how to establish their
limitations and personal standards. When a parent or other authority person is not there to
oversee conduct, this might lead to difficulties.
Psychologists have noted that the behavior of kids that are brought up in authorizing
parenthood are the best-behaved. The children in such settings were raised in strict environments
where they had to face the consequences for failing to follow guidelines. That means the rules
are clear. While they grow up, the children in the strict setup can follow procedures in other
settings that may demand the skills (4 Types of Parenting Styles, 2021). Furthermore, due to the
risk nature of the surrounding, authorial setup acts as a preventive setup. Therefore, young ones
learn to stay safe as they focus on goals.

Summary of the Reasons for choosing the references
In support of my Bibliography, it is relevant because they bear titles related to the topic
under consideration. When I searched through the journal publication sites, I came across a list
of journals. However, not much seemed to give relevant information close to the one I needed
and used. For example, the assignment is about authorial parenting styles, and the journal "4
Types of Parenting Styles and their Effects on the Child" has given relevant data on the subject.
Secondly, the documents have periods for which they are published. It is only after
publication that online documents become valid. The journal sources fulfill the rules for relevant
sources because they show the publication date and can be traced. Journals that do not indicate
the period of publication are not considered relevant.
The journal articles are purely academic because they can be found on all sites which are
recommended for use as references like Google Scholar, Cite This For Me, or PubMed. The
information contained in the journals is purely academic, considering the level of language used
and the rich information contained. Finally, if you search a few keywords, you are likely to find
the sources in the first list.
