QUICK TIP
Use ~ません for polite negatives.
Just replace ~ます with ~ません to make it negative.
→ Example: のみます → のみません (drink → don’t drink)
Don’t forget verb type matters in plain form.
Different rules apply depending on whether the verb is う, る,
or irregular when forming negative casually.
い-adjectives change to ~くない to be negative.
→ たかい (expensive) → たかくない (not expensive)

Question words in Japanese are used to ask for specific
information like who, what, where, when, and why. They are
usually placed where the answer would go in a sentence and
are often followed by ですか or a verb to form a question.
どこですか? いくらですか?

Where is it? How much is it?

IN JAPANESE
In Japanese, hours end with 〜 じ (ji) meaning “o’clock,” and
minutes use ふん (fun) or ぷん (pun) depending on the number. To
say half past the hour, use はん (han).
