wear - this is fleece, flannel, and puffy jackets territory. Even indoors, it's

Sunday (15th)

○​ 1:15-6:45: Mendenhall Glacier, Whale Watching and Wildlife Quest
■​ Experience Alaska’s two most popular attractions – glaciers and wildlife –
on one incredible excursion. Begin with a panoramic drive through the
Mendenhall Valley to Auke Bay, where you’ll board an Alaskan made
expedition vessel for a whale-watching cruise. Relax in the spacious
heated cabin as your Captain navigates through the island-studded waters
of Stephen’s Passage. You’re most likely to spend time viewing the world
famous Humpback Whales and sleek Killer Whales. Also look for
porpoises, Bald Eagles, Harbor Seals, Sea Lions, and other wildlife.
Afterwards, enjoy a narrated drive to Mendenhall Glacier. Trek along
scenic viewing trails for incredible photo opportunities, and learn about
the awesome force of glaciers from Forest Service experts at the
Mendenhall Visitor Center.
■​ Explore Alaska’s spectacular wilderness by land and sea on a combination
motor coach and catamaran adventure.

Monday (16th)

■​ Prepare for a thrilling sightseeing adventure unlike ever before, as you
whip around Icy Strait Point's rugged coastline in an open-air high-speed
rigid hull inflatable boat past amazing Alaska wildlife and Hoonah's
Native Tlingit village. Meet your experienced captain at the dock, where
you'll endure a safety briefing before gearing up with a Coast
Guard-approved exposure jacket. Take a seat on a 27-foot Rigid Hull
Inflatable vessel and get ready for a wild ride. Off the coast of Icy Strait
Point your captain will quickly maneuver the boat at full throttle, slowing
down occasionally to admire tidal flats, wildlife, and more. Keep your eyes
peeled for plodding brown bears, Sitka black-tailed deer feeding by the
water, bald eagles soaring overhead, and a bounty of swimming marine
life including sea lions, sea otters, seals, puffins and whales. As you motor
around Hoonah's seascape, you'll learn about the local history, the
reasons why the waterways are important to the Tlingit people and the
ocean’s continued benefit to their subsistence lifestyle.

award-winning wildlife cruise through picturesque Sitka Sound in search
of the area’s resident sea otters, whales, bears and other wildlife. Join an
experienced captain and crew aboard an Alaskan-built expedition vessel
that offers both a warm interior cabin with large viewing windows and an
expansive topside observation deck. As you glide along calm waters
through the narrow island passageway of Sitka Sound, you’ll admire
scenery studded with snow-capped peaks and a towering stratovolcano.
Listen along as your naturalist guide shares about the local ecosystem and
the role Sitka played during the 19th-century Maritime Fur Trade. Sitka
Sounds is home to the greatest variety of wildlife in Southeast Alaska. This
