Define the dead band of the firing-rate input in this Parameter. Changes of the firing- Write: 1
rate, which are in this defined range are ignored and don’t lead to a regulation of the Version: 1.0.0.0
compound. If you define the dead band of the firing-rate too small, the compound runs
irregularly becaus even for smalles changes of the firing rate the compount corrects.
With additional routines like leading air procedure at changes in the firing-rate and
overshoot (approaching of the actuators from one side) this leads to needless irregular
running. At slightly oscillating operation or disturbed firing-rate signal the actuators are
in permanent movement. If you chose a to big dead band of the firing-rate leads to an
incomplete extension of the firing-rate request or the firing-rate is not extended before
the deviation of setpoint/actual value gets higher. Then it changes in one step. This
may cause a huge oscillation of the actual value of the control path (steam pressure or
flow temperature).
You must determine the optimal value of this parameter on the plant. You should set
the parameter content lowe tha 3 digit only in exceptional cases, because this can lead
to fluctuations of the signals at the firing-rate input and thus the displacements of the
compound.
