HIS ANCESTRY
a) Isaiah mentions the lineage of the Messiah

A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. Isaiah 11:1
Fulfilling it in Matthew 1:6 "Jesse begot King David, and King David begot"
Solomon of the one who was Uriah's wife.

b) The terms rod and stem are messianic words. They are figurative words referring to the

2. HIS BIRTH AND YOUTH

The story of the birth of Jesus in Matthew and Luke tells us that this prophecy and the following ones are
they fulfilled. In reference to this, we see that an angel appeared to some shepherds on the night of
birth and in Luke 2:11 and 12 announcement:

I bring you good news of great joy, that will be for all the people: that today in the city has been born to you,
David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find the child wrapped in
diapers, lying in a manger.

Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will name him
name Emanuel." Isaiah 7:14

When Isaiah speaks of Jesus, we can also see his revelation in the Gospels speaking of his
ministry and its works, explaining in a key way the daily mission of Jesus
