BIBLE STUDY for the Cells

Liberation of a Demoniac
INTRODUCTION

In our study today in the Cell, we will be meditating on one of the

most tremendous encounters experienced by the Master in a confrontation with the
spiritual forces of Evil. The attitude of the Lord Jesus towards a demon-possessed man
it shows us how valuable the life of a human being is to Him and how powerful He is
to free him from the most desperate situations. Let us allow the Spirit of God
he teaches us the spiritual truths necessary for our Christian living in the days of
today.

What situations or people do you consider hopeless?

What people do others try to avoid when they encounter them on the street?

Lucas 8:26-39

26 They arrived at the land of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee.

27 When he arrived at the land, a man from the city met him, possessed by demons.
for a long time; he did not wear clothes nor lived in a house, but in the tombs.
28 Upon seeing Jesus, he let out a great shout, and falling at his feet he exclaimed with a loud voice:
What do you have to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, do not torment me.
29 (Jesus commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man, for it had been a long time)
the time that had taken hold of him; and they bound him with chains and shackles, but,
breaking the chains, he was driven by the demon into the deserts.) 30 Jesus said to him
He asked: 'What is your name?' He said: 'Legion.' Many demons had entered him.
31 and they begged him not to send them to the abyss. 32 There was a herd of many
pigs that were grazing on the hill; and they begged him to let them enter into them. He gave them

scattered throughout the region, it can generally be said that it was a territory

Whoever dominates me has to be the Holy Spirit; in Ephesians 2:2 it says that in another.
We were following the current of this world that is under the dominion
of the prince of the power of the air because we were children of disobedience,
we lived doing the will of the flesh and of the thoughts and by
nature children of wrath, but Christ came to undo the works of the devil.
This helps us understand our nature and thus be able to fight, to wage war.

Talk about a life without control, being tied to something, enslaved by Satan, tormented people.
I think about the people who are in self-help programs. When an addict
arrives at a clinic, agency, or hospital, the objective is to isolate or detach that person from their
addiction. These programs aim to distance people from the outside to separate them from their
addiction. But every program that is based on a person enslaved by drugs

They wanted a temporary home so that when the pigs were slaughtered the
spirits could leap over other people.

The Bible says that God has given us all power and authority over the enemy to cast out
demons and unclean spirits. Although Jesus said "this kind" goes out only when
we fast and pray.
1.- Our battle against unclean spirits will continue until
Christ returns. And each day will become more fierce as the devil who is very
angry, increases its seductions over humanity in these last ones
times. We see this incessant battle taking place across the New
Testament. Everywhere Christ and the apostles went, they expelled
unclean spirits.

The true missionary activity begins at home. It is not coherent to do
great efforts in favor of the evangelization of other parts of the world
while we neglect the Christian education of our own children,
for example.

The demon-possessed man of Gadara challenges us to two things. First, to experience the profound change that
God brings to the lives of people. Second, to bear witness to the reality of that change in
our environment, among ours.
