POLE MOUNTAIN RULE


By the Rule of Palo-Monte, Conga or Bruja is known in Cuba as the way of
popular religiosity generated by the men and women who were
taken as slaves and belonging to the large African family of
the Bantu-speaking peoples (Congo).
Between the 17th and 18th centuries in Cuba, the Congo slaves are the
more numerous, but later than 1820 when the trade of
blacks become clandestine, the entry of
