continues to remain: The need for skilled workers for the job
of God. The need shown by the overwhelmed souls and the lack of
leaders that would guide them to the paths of salvation made him turn to
his disciples and said to them: Truly the harvest is plentiful, but the workers

the need for a spiritual guide has been key. During the ministry of
Moses and Joshua, Israel had a leader who shepherded them according to his
will; but after they died, the nation had very few who were interested
to show them the way of life. It is enough to look at the history of this town to
through the Old Testament to corroborate this fact. For example,
after the death of Joshua, the people quickly went astray and became
to the idols for which God constantly disciplined them by raising a
nation that would teach them a lesson. In this period we find the judges that
they helped Israel in this difficult time, but once the judge was dead, the nation

to pray for some project to do when our life depends on it.
Many sentences may not denote great anguish in our lives, but
others urge us to shed tears and great pleas for receiving
our request. Jesus told his disciples that it was necessary to pray,
to cry out with tears and great fervor to God for the miracle to raise up workers
committed, willing to pay the price of the service and who know how to guide
to his people on the path of holiness. This must be a priority in
our life, since so far it continues to be a reality in our

we are truly motivated to act for what we are praying for.
Those who fervently pray for the harvest and the workers
necessary ones are more likely to have the compassion to go to
that harvest.
In the following verse (10:1), Jesus calls some of those
the same disciples whom he asked to pray, giving them authority and
sending them to the harvest. That is their expectation for each of
us. This was the first important step to solving the shortage
of workers. Now their ministry would multiply.
The Lord of the Harvest
The time of harvest has come
John 4:35
In today's world, the church of the Lord has been
moving carrying the living word and sowing the seed of
gospel in the fertile ground of souls.
In Spanish, three words are used to describe harvesting. The
the first is 'harvest'; which is when you cut the grain.
mature from the plant. Second is: "blind"; which is when the
ripe grain is put to dry. third is 'the harvest'; what is it
when he lifts it and takes it to the barns.
Do you not say: There are still four months until it arrives
the harvest? Here I tell you: Lift up your eyes and look at the
fields, for they are already white for the harvest.
This is a very good parable in which the Lord teaches us
to us the fertile fields of our neighborhood, our
neighborhood, our city our town etc. etc.
Jesus said: that the fields are already ready and that the harvest is
substantial, now is the time to harvest. At the same moment
that He declared this, a great spiritual harvest began.
In Matthew 13:38 the Lord takes care of giving us the explanation of
...The one who sows the good seed is the
son of man, the field is the world, the good seed are
the children of the kingdom...
The growth that God is bringing about.
The harvest time comes because the fields (which are the
world); they are already white, ready to be blinded,
hungry for the knowledge of God and thirsty to drink from the water of
life.
Remember, God is the Lord of the harvest. This is the harvest;
it is not yours. It does not belong to any particular church.
We are all working for the same Master of the
harvest (hopefully!). More important than filling your own
silos means not losing the mature grain and working together
to ensure the best harvest. With too much
frequency, we are undermining the efforts of others to
to claim a greater harvest. God is not pleased if
we lose what He has planted and cared for with much
darling!
