This is a vigil for the Solemnity of Pentecost, the coming of the Spirit.
Saint about the apostles and Mary. We suggest the following outline:

L.- Let us all together confess our Trinitarian faith.
We believe in God the Father, in God the Son, and in God the Holy Spirit, that
there are not three gods, but one only in Trinity of persons.

We confess that the Holy Spirit exists.

What is the third person of the Holy Trinity, distinct from the
Father and of the Son, from whom He eternally proceeds.

We recognize that the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son by
eternal love breath.
He is a gift from the Father and the Son to their Church. Our Comforter,
defender against the attacks of our enemies.

The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son.
T.-Because just as the Father, upon understanding himself, begets
Verb, thus from the love of the Father and the Son proceeds the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of life, who proceeds from
Father and of the Son, who with the Father and the Son receives the same worship and
glory, and spoke through the prophets.
He is the Lord of our souls because He frees us from slavery.

The bodies become radiant upon receiving rays of light and thus

L.- To you, Holy Spirit, we who are in need of holiness, direct our
gazes and our hearts.
T.- And to you who are the source of sanctification, light of our
intelligences, clarity of our reason.

You are inaccessible by your nature but you have made yourself accessible by your
goodness.
We need the Holy Spirit for our perfection and
renewal.

L. - For you, Holy Spirit, hearts are lifted up high, the weak

promised that are waiting for us and that by faith we hope to enjoy.
You illuminate the pure in heart and make them spiritual.

Just as the arid land does not bear fruit if it does not receive water, so too
we, who were once a dry log, would never have given
fruit of life without this free rain from above.

Just as the dry tree germinates when it receives water, so does

also the sinful soul, upon receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit
repentance produces fruits of holiness.
T.-Care lovingly for your Church and preserve the integrity of the faith,
the charisma of infallibility, the multiple manifestations of
holiness.

You use our feeble words as an instrument to

the salvation of mankind and perfecting them internally, making
to produce good fruits.
Make all of us faithfully fulfill the mission of
to bring the souls of the young to God, our Father, through Jesus Christ,
our brother.

God has given us a great helper and protector so that

Why feel alone if the Holy Spirit accompanies us?

T.-Why feel insecure or anxious if the Paraclete is
pending on us and our things?

L.- Why madly go through life asking for happiness where there is none?
T.- Why did it take us so long to understand that there is no greater joy

L.- Let us repeat all the words that Jesus said to us on the night of his
farewell
I will ask the Father and He will send you another Comforter, so that He may be
eternally with you, the Spirit of truth, whom the world
cannot receive it, because it neither sees nor knows it: but you do

(Jn. 14, 16-17).

We have been sealed with the promised seal of the Holy Spirit (Eph. 1:13)
to belong to Him eternally in an everlasting covenant.
T.-Y you have granted us your gifts of wisdom and intelligence, spirit
of counsel and of strength, spirit of knowledge and of piety, spirit of
holy fear.

We remind you in your presence that we have been sealed with your seal and that
we need your spiritual treasures, which are your abundance
seven sacred gifts. That we understand the effectiveness and excellence of your

We are a people marked with the shining seal of the Spirit.

For Him we are valuable and He takes care of us carefully. He will defend us.
T.-Let us guard against grieving the Holy Spirit, in whom we have...

never distrust their love and loyalty towards us.

L. - Let's learn like the first Christians and let ourselves be catechized by

T.-"Do you not know that you are temples of the Holy Spirit who dwells in

yourselves?” (I Cor. 6, 10).

Those brothers of ours, the first Christians, lived in a

pagan environment, despised and, many times, persecuted.
T.-But the Holy Spirit, sweet guest of their souls, was their
consolation in the midst of the sorrows and persecutions of the world.

They knew how to bear witness to Christ with their life and their word,
proclaiming their faith in every circumstance and place, even with their own
spilled blood. The words of the Lord often become reality.
T.-"When they deliver you, do not worry about how or what you are going to
speak. What you need to talk about will be communicated to you then.

L.- We need to approach God with simplicity and trust, to feel Him close and

Come, Holy Spirit: teach us and enlighten us.

O Holy Spirit: strengthen us and comfort us.
Come, Holy Spirit: defend us and nourish us.
Come, Holy Spirit: fill us and satisfy us.

Come, Holy Spirit: heal us and sanctify us.

Come, Holy Spirit: choose us and justify us.

Come, Holy Spirit: inspire us and reveal to us.

Come, Holy Spirit: console us and set us free.

Come, Holy Spirit: help us and guide us.

Come, Holy Spirit: announce to us and glorify us.

Your performance is smooth and calm.

The experience of those who possess you is pleasant and enjoyable.

L.- Your yoke is very light and your coming is full of light and truth.
Your goodness protects us from evil and your love is our bond.

MEDITATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

What is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is God, it is the third person.

The Holy Spirit is so important to us that Saint Paul says:

"no one can say Jesus is Lord except by the influence of the Holy Spirit"

to do without. He is the only one capable of giving meaning to my existence and the only one capable
to give me eternal life. We all feel nostalgia for God in our
heart. We feel it when we feel the need for a purer love,
more stable, deeper than what we find around us.

Ask the Holy Spirit tonight to reveal to us Jesus Christ, to us

let us truly know Jesus Christ, may He reveal to us His great love
for us.

Ask the Holy Spirit to fulfill in us the promises of

God, what are saving promises. In the Old Testament, through the prophet Ezekiel,
God had promised: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.
new, I will remove from your body the heart of stone and give you a heart
of flesh". (Ez 36, 25ss)

What is the heart of stone? It is the heart hardened by sin.

Ask the Holy Spirit to flood our soul with the rain of His grace,
so that the love of God can enter us.

In that same passage of Ezekiel, the Lord also says: 'I will sprinkle you with'
pure water and I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your
idols". Today I ask you: Do you have idols that have captured your heart?
Are there things in your life that have taken the place of God? Ask the Spirit.
Saint to help you discover those idols, to recognize them and cast them out from
heart.

Saint Paul (Rom 8:26) continues by saying: "The Holy Spirit helps in
our weakness, because we do not know how to ask for prayer as it should be.
For the Spirit intercedes for us with groans that cannot be expressed.” And more
afternoon 'We know that God arranges all things for the good of those who Him
man." There is so much confusion in our lives that many times we do not know

Account of Pentecost. Last week was Ascension. We heard

the account of how the Lord ascends to Heaven. It must have been an experience
impressive for the apostles. Before leaving, he tells them not to stray from
the city, which will receive the promise of the Father, will receive the strength of

In the era of efficiency, it seems that we value things only for

the result they give us, because of how effective they are. Well, look at the effectiveness of

scared, they became witnesses, and they reached the ends of the earth.

Ask the Holy Spirit for a new Pentecost, ask Him to pour out Himself.

In the same book of the prophet Ezekiel that we have commented on before, there is
another stunning image. The prophet sees a valley full of bones. God tells him
ask if those dry bones can be revived. The prophet says: “Lord, you
You know.” The prophet prophesied about the bones in the name of Yahweh. There was a
shivering and the bones began to join together and were covered with
meat and they regained life by standing up. It was a crowd
immense.
This can also happen today if we pray with faith to the Holy Spirit. Whoever
