Scene Title: Meeting with Respect
Location: Example – Nipissing First Nation
• Nawab (Host):
Hello everyone. Thank you for coming today. We are
meeting on Anishinaabe land. We respect the people who
lived here before us. My name is Nawab Singh, and I’ll
lead today’s meeting.
• Elder Mary:
Thank you, Nawab. I want to share the 7 teachings we
follow: love, respect, courage, honesty, wisdom, humility,
and truth. These help us live in a good way.
• Councillor John:
Our community has a Chief and Council who make
decisions. We have about 2,500 people. We support our
youth and help keep our culture strong.
• Alex (Business Partner):
We work with this Nation in tourism and small business.
We listen to the community and follow their ways. That
makes the partnership strong.
• Lisa (Youth):
As a young person, I follow the 7th Generation teaching.
We want to build a good future for our children and their
children.
• Nawab (Host):
Thanks, everyone. Let’s keep working together with respect
and care for the land and each other.
