“CONDITION IS WORSE THAN YOU
THINK”
‘I LOVE MY COUNTRY “INDIA” BUT I NEED TO TELL THE TRUTH’
To be frank, I like to tell and know the truth. So in this
article, I want to take it one step further and show you where it gets
brutal and disastrous.
And trust me INDIA is way worse than you could ever
imagine.
This doesn’t mean I hate INDIA, or something. Absolutely
not. I love INDIA and I always will. But the thing is: You can’t deny the
reality and truth, right? So accept that “It is what it is”, and live with it,
or change upon it.
Get ready and let’s dive in!
1. HINDUSTAN KI JANATA –
“THE POOR CIVIC SENSE OF INDIANS”
The foremost reason is ignorance. The society is full of
stereotype and out dated.
The attitude has it’s root in the traditional caste system. A
section of population, belonging to a particular group of castes
were made to clean others waste.
Even in this so called modern era, they are made to do
the same work. The ‘other’ section of population, belonging to a
particular group of population, belonging to a particular group of
castes were made to clean others waste, because they are not
going to clean it anyway. It’s not just about littering streets and
spitting in common places, most of the people don’t let the public
toilet to be clean. It is one of the reason why INDIA is among the
most polluted countries in the world.
Another important reason is no parent is teaching civic
sense to their children ( Except for few educated parents ).
Parents instill stereotyping, self centered attitude and everything
else in their children’s brain.
The country is facing now is ‘Intolerance’. It’s not just
religious and ethnic, but gender intolerance too.
Gender intolerance is clearly seen in every family. Parents
are reluctant to spend on their daughter’s education even now.
All they want is to teach her the skill of housekeeping. Women are
not allowed to eat before male members in the family have eaten.
Most importantly, physical violence against women. This is not
just confined within one’s house. Men take this attitude to the
public sphere also. Women molestation, sexual violence, rape,
acid attacks and every other harassment have root in one’s
‘HOME’.
“Parents play a vital role
in giving good human being to society”
Thus, the reason for lack of civic sense is institutional
setup. The nature of family, caste, gender everything has to be
changed.
2. THE GREAT INDIAN PRADUSHAN –
INDIA is the #3 most polluted country in the world.
And because pollution is enormous in India the quality of
life of Indian people isn’t good. Doesn’t really matter where you
live in India, you have to encounter air pollution, noise pollution,
trash, and garbage at extreme to moderate levels depending from
city to city. The bigger the city, the more polluted it is.
Of the world’s 30 cities with the worst air pollution, 17
are in India. The capital, New Delhi, has the poorest air quality
among capital cities globally, with concentrations of particulate
matter (PM2.5) nearly 10 times higher than the World Health
Organization guidelines.
Thermal power plants, pollution from vehicles, industrial
emissions, burning of crop residue and the burning of wood and
dirty fuels for cooking and heating are some of the main causes of
air pollution in India.
Air pollution accounts for more than 2 million deaths a
year in India, according to the State of Global Air 2024. It also
leads to health problems like respiratory and cardiovascular
diseases. The effects are devastating.
“Honk…honk…honk…and honk”
If you are an Indian or someone who has ever visited
India, you know pretty well how extreme the noise pollution
is in India. People here aren’t “Silent drivers.” They honk,
and honk, and honk — even if there is no need.
The good part is though, this is mostly true for cities, big cities.
But as you might know, INDIA’s 70% population belongs to rural
areas. So if you visit or live in rural areas, you may not face noise
pollution as much as you face in big cities like Delhi, Mumbai,
Jaipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Lucknow, etc.
Have you experienced it in India?
The Trash and Garbage
is the most severe problem in India.
And it’s just not in big cities, but also you’ll find trash
and garbage everywhere in the rural areas and villages too.
They’re everywhere whether you’re walking on a road, relaxing
on a beach, standing in a public place, or swimming on the Ganga
River.
You’ll also see cows and their pats on the roads, in
markets, and in front of million or billion-dollar buildings and
headquarters. They’re everywhere. Although Indians worship
cows, and that’s they don’t do or say anything about them. And I
truly love this thing about Indians.
The problems I just showed you mostly were about tourism and
traveling. But now I want to talk about the personal problems we
have in India that must be solved to make India a better place.
3.SATTA MEIN SAAZISH –
“Chunaav ke din sab yaad aate hain,
Fir vaade hawaa ho jaate hain”
(This is where things get serious.)
If you don’t live in India, you may not know this. But if you’re
an Indian, you know pretty well how corrupt the government and its
people are.
Whether it’s getting approval from the government to
establish a business or asking for a simple sign from a government
officer — requires a bribe in India. If you don’t have money, forget the
work you’re trying to do. The prices are too high. Petrol, diesel,
vegetables, groceries, ration…you name it. The government doesn’t
care about the formers, and they don’t care about the people of this
nation — no matter how extreme they protest.
Without a good government, it’s hard to imagine a great
nation.
4.WILL INDIA EVER HEAL? -
The lack of healthcare infrastructure causes unnecessary deaths.
The healthcare infrastructure in India is worse than you could
ever imagine. Most people in India belong to rural areas and are middle
to lower-middle-class families.
So it’s hard for them to get private healthcare facilities.
But the government healthcare system is so bad that it causes
unnecessary deaths due to the lack of good medicines, doctors, or
better hospitality. This is a severe problem for people living in rural
areas because in most villages there are no facilities or infrastructures
for healthcare. If something unexpected happens for example an
accident or heart attack, they’ve to drive 20 or 50 kilometers to get the
treatment done. And if everything doesn’t go on time, the person will
probably die.
5.FUTURE IS UNDIFINED –
The education system is too broken to discuss.
The Curriculum, From early schooling to high school, all you learn is
math, chemistry, social science, Sanskrit, art, Hindi, English, and some
other subjects — mostly based on theoretical knowledge. That’s why
most students who pass high school often get confused about “What
next.”
There isn’t good infrastructure for schools.
Some rural areas don’t even have schools. So if students want to go to
school, they’ve to drive 10 or 20 kilometers far from their homes. But
the problem is I don’t think an 8 or 12-year-old kid can do it, per day,
every day. Kudos to these teachers who are trying hard to give the best
they can.
The government should build more infrastructure for schools
and provide better facilities for students, for example, benches,
projectors, whiteboards, other tools, and good teachers & workers.
Children are the future of India.
This type of education leads to job crisis in INDIA.
There are many reasons for unemployment though. For example, huge
population, students only have theoretical knowledge, and the
government doesn’t provide enough job vacancies or doesn’t have
enough private sectors or opportunities.
Do you know India has a massive income inequality?
Let me give you some stats:
Top 1%: The richest 1% of Indians hold approximately 40.1% of the
country’s total wealth.
Top 10%: The wealthiest 10% of the Indian population owns about 80%
of the total wealth.
Bottom 50%: In contrast, the bottom 50% of Indians collectively possess
only around 3–6.4% of the total national wealth, showing extreme
inequality in wealth.
This is the condition of India.
Now this begs the question: So, what can we do about this all?
The truth is: You as an individual, should change yourself firstly. We are
the problem and the people who are in charge, and the people who’ve
got power. The nation is not corrupt because of its citizens, but people
who are in power.
And lastly, if you’ve got offended reading this story, you
shouldn’t be, as a responsible citizen of INDIA I just showed you the
reality and what’s true.
AUR ISS SACHAAI KO AAP TAK PAHUNCHANE SE
MUJHE FAARK PADTA HAI…
