Overview
Dr. Baisakhi Bakat is an esteemed ENT consultant and Skull Base
Surgeon at the Department of ENT & Head and Neck Surgery, Manipal
Hospitals, Dhakuria, Kolkata, with more than 10 years of experience in
the field. She completed her MBBS from West Bengal University of
Health Sciences (WBUHS) and pursued a DNB in Otorhinolaryngology
from the prestigious Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan. She
further honed her skills in Endoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery
in Bombay and completed a fellowship in Lateral and Anterior Skull
Base Surgery from the World Skull Base Foundation. Dr. Bakat has a
special interest in Skull Base Surgery, Cochlear Implantation Surgery,
Sialoendoscopy, and Transphenoidal Pituitary Surgeries. She is an
advocate for raising awareness about hearing loss and its
management, especially in children. Her patient-centred approach is
grounded in evidence-based care, ensuring tailored care that
integrates the latest medical research and innovations. She
consistently strives to incorporate advanced techniques into her
practice. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Bakat is also a gifted
academician and researcher. She has been involved in teaching DNB
trainees through monthly webinars conducted by the National Board of
Education (NBE) and also actively participates in various workshops

Bengal Journal of Otolaryngology and Head Neck Surgery and “Does
Voice Therapy Cure All Vocal Fold Nodules?” published in the
International Journal of Phono Surgery and Laryngology. Dr. Bakat

India Otolaryngology Association of India (AOI), Cochlear Implant Group
of India (CIGI), and All India Rhinology Society of India (AIRS). Her
