I. Introduction

The Internship/Practicum/On-the-Job Training Program is one the course


requirements for graduation. A TAU student has to undergo work immersion in a
business organization or establishment with work requirements related to the
specialization. Through internship, the students are exposed to and are familiarized
with the work-related environment related to their field of specialization. Specifically,
the students are able to first, gain relevant and practical industrial skills under the
guidance of industry experts and workers. Second, appreciate the importance and
application of the principles and theories taught in the classroom. Third, enhance their
technical knowledge and skills. Lastly, prepare them to meet the needs and challenges
of employment, entrepreneurship, or higher education after their graduation.

The BS Psychology program of the Tarlac Agricultural University aims to produce


empowered psychologists with critical, logical, and ethical thinking to become
productive and versatile citizens. Likewise, it aims to produce committed psychologists
who promote excellence in human and social development.

II. Goals/ Objectives

BS Psychology General Objective:

The BS Psychology OJT program aims to develop ethical, committed, and competent
professionals in the field of Psychology.

III. Requirements of the Program

a. Orientation and Briefing


All students’ interns are required to attend the following internship activities:
1. Psychological testing on January 19, 2023 at TAU Library Audio Visual
Room;

2. Pre-Deployment Orientation Seminar on February 26, 2023 at TAU
Continuing Education Center and;
3. Pinning Ceremony on February 27, 2023 at TAU Continuing Education
Center.
b. List of Documents for the Student Internship as Stipulated in CMO No. 104, s.
2017-
The student must submit the following internship requirements before the
endorsement:
 a waiver and parent consent signed by his/her parent or guardian and
shall be notarized
 Internship plan
 Internship contract
c. General Requirements
1. The student must enrol the practicum subject after completing all the major
subjects in psychology including Research in Psychology 1 and 2.
2. The student must comply with the general guidelines of the company
regarding their own practicum program policy such as: submission of
pertinent documents like application letter, resume, Identification Card and
the like.
3. The student must complete a minimum training of 200 hours in
industrial/clinical setting and 100 hours in educational setting.
4. The students are required to fill-up a daily time records signed by the
immediate supervisor which will be submitted to the coordinator upon
completion.
5. The students shall submit a daily journal/activity reports indicating the nature
of job accomplished, output, time duration, place, resources used signed by
the immediate supervisor.
6. The student is required to obtain Certificate of Completion and Performance
Evaluation from the Host Company.
7. The student must submit an accomplishment report to be presented during
the OJT exit conference.
8. The student must submit a narrative report on his/her accomplishment during
the entire training period.

The student’ intern shall receive a grade for the subject based on his/her
performance in the indicators mentioned below:
