A. Course Perspective:

The course Human Values and Professional Ethics offers a foundational exploration of ethical principles,
human values, and professional conduct, with a special focus on Indian cultural and philosophical contexts.
Designed for BBA Semester III students, the course aims to cultivate a strong ethical compass essential for
personal and professional life.

Through an interdisciplinary approach, students engage with value systems rooted in Indian scriptures such
as the Mahabharata, Bhagavad Gita, and Ramayana, linking traditional wisdom to modern management
practices. The course emphasizes the significance of ethics in business, including areas like marketing,
finance, human resource management, and environmental responsibility. It examines real-world ethical
dilemmas, encouraging critical thinking and decision-making rooted in integrity and fairness.

Importantly, the course fosters understanding of harmonious human relationships and social structures,
addressing gender issues, biases, and the foundational values of trust and respect. It prepares students to
navigate complex workplace scenarios by applying ethical frameworks and promoting inclusive, value-based
leadership.

With a combination of theoretical instruction and practical engagement, this value-added course develops
responsible, ethical future managers. Students are not only made aware of their professional responsibilities
but are also sensitized toward building a just and equitable society. By integrating personal values with
professional expectations, the course aspires to produce business leaders who uphold ethical excellence and
contribute meaningfully to both organizational success and societal well-being.
