Land Like No Other - 06 Nights / 07 Days

DAY 01 – (01 NIGHTS) ARRIVAL COLOMBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT / NEGOMBO

Arrival to Sri Lanka, You’ll be met by Sky Express Holidays Tours representative on Arrival at the Airport and transferred to
Negombo.

Negombo – A famous fishing village North of Colombo, with a Dutch built Canal running through. The canal itself is a
hive of activity with fishermen traveling up and down in their gaily-painted boats. On the shores of the canal you will
find many homes and many species of birds including the spectacular Kingfisher. Catamaran trips in the sea and boat
trips in the canal can be organized. From November to April, diving facilities are available in this quaint village. The
streets on either side of the Hotels are dotted with Souvenir Shops, popular Restaurants etc.

DAY 02 ( 01 NIGHTS ) – NEGOMBO / SIGIRIYA

Now you are at the heart of the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka for the heritage part of your Sri Lanka holiday. Hike to Sigiriya
Rock Fortress referred by locals as the Eighth Wonder of the World this ancient palace and fortress complex has
significant archaeological significance and attracts thousands of tourists every year. It is perhaps the most visited tourist
attraction of Sri Lanka. The fortress complex includes miscellany of a ruined palace, surrounded by a widespread network of
fortifications, enormous gardens, ponds, canals and fountains. Since 3th century BC the rocky plateau of Sigiriya served as a
monastery. In the second half of the 5th century king Kasyapa decided to construct a royal residence here. If you happen to do
this in an afternoon, you would be able to witness a fireball sunset.

DAY 03 ( 01 NIGHTS ) – SIGIRIYA / KANDY

Kandy is a large city in central Sri Lanka. It's set on a plateau surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and
biodiverse rainforest. The city's heart is scenic Kandy Lake (Bogambara Lake), which is popular for strolling. Kandy is famed for
sacred Buddhist sites, including the Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) shrine, celebrated with the grand Esala Perahera
annual procession

• Visit Udawattakele Forest Reserve ( often spelled as Udawatta Kele, is a historic forest reserve on a hill-ridge in the
city of Kandy. It is 104 hectares large. During the days of the Kandyan kingdom, Udawattakele was known as "Uda
Wasala Watta" in Sinhalese meaning "the garden above the royal palace" )

DAY 04 – (01 NIGHT) KANDY / NUWARAELIYA

After breakfast Proceed to Nuwaraeliya


Nuwara Eliya is a city in the tea country hills of central Sri Lanka. The naturally lndscaped Hakgala Botanical Gardens displays
roses and tree ferns, and shelters monkeys and blue magpies. Nearby Seetha Amman Temple, a colorful Hindu shrine, is
decorated with religious figures. Densely forested Galway's Land National Park is a sanctuary for endemic and migratory bird
species, including bulbuls and flycatchers

DAY 05 (01 NIGHT) NUWARAELIYA / ELLA

Ella Sri Lanka’s “Hill Country” peaceful and picturesque Ella is one of the most charming towns in Sri Lanka and is well worth a
few days of your trip –simply relax, drink tea and take in the jungle views!
• Unforgettable tea train trip (The train journey from Nuwara Eliya to Ella takes about 2-3 hours and goes through a beautiful
landscape of tea plantations. You should sit on the left side of the train from Nuwara Eliya to Ella as this side is the most scenic )
• Visit & Climb Little Adam’s Peak

• Do a local cooking class (Cooking classes have become more and more popular in recent years as tourists request for

on a rainy afternoon and of course to learn how to make some delicious Ceylon dishes)

DAY 06 ( 01 NIGHTS) ELLA / GALLE

Galle is a city on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. It’s known for Galle Fort, the fortified old city founded by Portuguese
colonists in the 16th century. Stone sea walls, expanded by the Dutch, encircle car-free streets with architecture reflecting
Portuguese, Dutch and British rule. Notable buildings include the 18th-century Dutch Reformed Church. Galle Lighthouse stands
on the fort’s southeast tip

• Visit Turtle hatchery in kosgoda
• Have an experience of Boat safari in Balapitiya MADU RIVER
• Relax at the beach

DAY 07 – GALLE / AIRPORT
