Class, before we start with our lesson, we will be
having a game. Our game is called “MCDONALD’S
GAME”

Direction: I will call one student to pick a letter from


A–Z, then read the sentence and identify the common
action word in it, and if you guess it you will choose
your prize in our reward station.

I want to learn how to bake


So, I can eat pie and cake!
I want to learn how to ride a bike
But first, please give me a mountain bike!
I want to learn how to cook
Oh! I need a recipe book!
I want to learn how to sing and play a guitar
And one day I might be a big star!
So many things I want to learn
But for now, I just want to be your friends.

Now, I want you to put the action words mentioned in
the poem on the tree.

Now, class those words that you put on the tree are
action words.

Now, there are 2 types of action words:

1. Physical Action – these show actions we can see,


like run, jump, eat, play.
Example: The children run in the park.
2. Mental Action – these show actions we cannot see
but happen in our mind, like think, know, remember,
understand.
Example: I think about my homework.
