counselling by providing evidence –based techniques and
intervention to address mental health issues. Christian
counselors can incorporate secular psychological principles such
as cognitive –behavior therapy (CBT) or family systems theory in
to their practice while still focusing on spiritual growth and
biblical values
- The integration can help clients address issues like anxiety,
depression or relationship problem while also exploring their faith
and spiritual well-being.
Some Christian counselors may use secular assessment and
diagnostic tools to better understanding their clients’ needs and
develop effective treatment plans.
- It’s essential for Christian counselors to critically evaluate secular
psychological theory and method to ensure they align with their
faith value and don’t contradict biblical principles.
By combing the best of both words Christian counselor can
provide holistic care that addresses both the psychological and
spiritual needs for my clients.
