3. 21 - 5 = 16

Ashok subtracted 7 from 16

4. 16 - 7 = 9

Finally Jiya subtracted 9 from 9

From 25 they had subtracted successive odd numbers starting from 1 and
obtained 0 at 5th step
Teacher told students to find square of 5 ,5 2 = 25

So as per definition 5 is square root of 25.
