IMPORTANT NOTICE
57th NATIONAL MATHEMATICS TALENT CONTEST (NMTC)

Dated: 1st July, 2025

This is to notify all the students of grade 5-12 that the prestigious NATIONAL MATHEMATICS
TALENT COMPETITION (NMTC) is going to be organized at VSIS in collaboration with THE
ASSOCIATION OF MATHEMATICS TEACHERS OF INDIA (AMTI), a pioneer organization in promoting
and conducting Mathematics Talents Tests in India with an aim to identify and encourage students to
attempt unfamiliar and non-routine problems exhibiting a general mathematical ability appropriate
to their levels. The levels for the category of students are:
Level 1: GAUSS CONTEST: - GRADE 5-6
Level 2: KAPREKAR CONTEST: - GRADE 7-8
Level 3: BHASKER CONTEST: - GRADE 9-10
Level 4: RAMANUJAN CONTEST: - GRADE 11-12
All the interested students who seek to participate in the competition can give their names to their
respective class teachers by 10th July, 2025. The registration fees for the competition is Rs. 150/.
Students may note that the competition will be organized in two rounds: Preliminary and Finals. The
preliminary round will be an objective based offline test and final round will be subjective type
offline test. The medium of contest is English only.
The winners will be awarded with a cash prize as follows in both the rounds:
1 Position: Rs. 5000/-
2 Position: Rs. 2500/-
3 Position: Rs. 1250/-
Selected students for final round will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 500/-
SPECIAL NOTE:
The date and time of the examination cannot be altered by the centers on any account.
STAGE 1: PRELIMINARY EXAM WILL BE CONDUCTED ON 23rd AUGUST 2025 IN SCHOOL PREMISES ONLY.
STAGE 2 : FINAL EXAM WILL BE CONDUCTED ON 25th OCTOBER 2025 IN SCHOOL PREMISES OR ANY
CENTRE ALLOTED BY AMTI.
