1. The Department of Science and Technology (DST) launched the country’s
first cluster of five Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) testbeds for the
cement sector.
It captures carbon dioxide from industrial processes and converting it to
value added products.
2. Babuji Vanam, the world’s first energy transmission garden, was inaugurated
at Kanha Shanti Vanam near Hyderabad to commemorate 125th birth

3. India’s first underwater museum and artificial coral reef will be developed in

5. NTPC has launched India’s first fleet of hydrogen fuel cell buses in Leh,

meters.
6. Botswana became the first country to achieve gold tier status in eliminating
the mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) of HIV.
7. Prime Minister flagged off India’s first D9 – 9000 HP electric locomotive,

3. Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology

KASHMIR MERINO. The same team had previously cloned India’s first

4. Researchers have created the first laboratory analogue of the 'black hole
bomb'.
5. India’s first indigenous tetravalent dengue vaccine, DengiAll, has reached
50% enrolment in Phase 3 clinical trials.
6. NASA’s Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory (GRAIL) mission aimed
to map the Moon’s gravitational field has revealed the very differences between
the Moon’s two hemispheres.
7. Japanese scientists have developed a new type of plastic that dissolves
quickly in seawater, leaving no harmful residue.
8. The first ever video and images of the Sun's south pole have been sent back

TAMIL NADU NEWS


1. Tamil Nadu CM launched the 'Alaigal' project at a capital outlay of Rs.25
crores. It aims to provide the micro-Loans to the fisherwomen groups for their
economic upliftment.
2. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has launched two schemes – 'Uzhavarai Thedi
and Eliya Aalumai (SimpleGov).
