1. DC Circuit Analysis: Laws: Ohm’s law, voltage and current divisions rule -Kirchhoff’s Current and
Voltage laws (1.5 Hour)
2. Series & parallel circuits - Star-Delta conversion, Mesh and Nodal Analysis (3 Hour)
3. Network Theorems: Norton’s Theorem, Thevenin’s theorem (1.5 Hour)
4. Super position theorem, duality theorem and maximum power transfer theorem (3 Hours)
MODULE-II (AC Circuits Analysis) (9 Hours)
1. Fundamentals of AC waveforms (average, rms, peak) –(1.5 Hours)
2. AC Circuit Analysis & Phasors: RL, RC, RLC - Series and parallel, Resonance (4.5 Hours)
3. Natural and forced responses in First order and Second order systems. (3 Hours)
MODULE-III (Magnetic Circuits ) (9 Hours)
1. Magnetic Coupled Circuits: Analogy between electric and magnetic circuits, Series and parallel magnetic
circuits (3 Hours)
2. Electromagnetic Self and mutual induction (1.5 Hours)
3. Applications of Electro-Magnetism: DC- motor & generator (1.5 Hours)
4. Single phase and 3 phase induction motor and transformer. (3 Hours)
MODULE-IV (Semiconductor Devices:) (9 Hours)
1. Introduction to semiconductors PN Junction Diode: Construction and operation with characteristics -
Rectifiers: Half-wave and Full wave. (4.5 Hours)
2. Zener Diode: Construction and operation with characteristics - Zener Regulator. (1.5 Hours)
3. BJT –CE Amplifier- Configuration; Characteristics - MOSFET. (3 Hours)
MODULE V (Digital and Logical Systems) (8 Hours)
1. Number system and conversion, Boolean Algebra, Logic gates & Universal Gates.(3 Hours)
