PREAMBLE OF PROGRAMME
The M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at Bhagwan Mahavir College of
Engineering and Technology is designed to prepare students to meet the evolving demands of the industry
while also laying the foundation for future research and innovation. The program blends theoretical
understanding with practical application, ensuring that graduates are not only well-versed in core ECE
concepts but are also capable of adapting to new technologies and interdisciplinary challenges.
The department subscribes to the belief that an undergraduate engineering degree should serve as a strong
foundation for both professional practice and lifelong learning. Whether a student chooses to enter the
workforce, pursue higher education, or explore entrepreneurship, the program aims to equip them with the
essential knowledge, skills, and ethical values required for success.
To reflect the increasing specialization and technological complexity in the field of electronics and
communication, the curriculum offers a mix of core courses, electives, hands-on labs, and project-based
learning. In the later stages of the program, students may have the opportunity to explore specialized areas
such as embedded systems, VLSI design, communication networks, signal processing, and IoT.
By fostering a learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and innovation, the
department ensures that its graduates are industry-ready, research-capable, and socially responsible
engineers. This M.Tech program is structured in alignment with the academic guidelines and regulations of
the institute and aims to maintain the highest standards of technical education.

APPENDIX 1 : Program Core Course
This course in engineering refers to the set of fundamental subjects that form the backbone of a particular
engineering branch, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Computer Science, or Electronics Engineering.
These core courses are designed to give students a deep understanding of the essential theories,
principles, and methods that define their specific field. Topics might include circuit analysis for electrical
engineers, data structures for computer science students, or fluid mechanics for mechanical engineers.
The program core ensures that all students develop strong technical competence, problem-solving ability,
and professional skills necessary for advanced study and future engineering practice. It lays the
groundwork for specialized electives and projects later in the program.
