The type of research paper you will be writing is a term paper.


Term Paper Requirements
• 2000 – 2200 words
• Term paper on one of the topics from Units 1 or 2 References
• Cover page
• You must include 6 references minimum
• Table of Contents (optional) (at least 6, you may have more)
• Introduction • You must use only reputable/credible
• Body sources: books, journals, articles, research
papers, organizations such as universities,
• Conclusion/Results research associations, Google Scholar,
• Discussion Microsoft Academic, .org sites, .edu sites
• 2 references must be books
• Font size 12, Double spaced, include headings, (you decide the
font type) • 4 references can be any other type of
credible source
• References: APA style format (for in-text citations and
reference list)
• Paper will be submitted in both Word and PDF formats.
Term Paper Guidelines
• You are going to choose one of the topics from Units 1 or 2.
• You are going to research as much information as you can, on the chosen topic.
• You are going to take notes on all of the relevant information about the chosen topic.
• You are going to keep a record of all the references you used.
• You are going to organize the information you researched.
• You are going to analyze the information you research.
• You are going to discuss the information you research.
• Throughout your writing, you are going to demonstrate you understand the topic and
provide insights or realizations about the topic, using your own words.
• The paper must be written in 3rd person.
• The paper should be written in formal, academic English. (check language notes on
syllabus)
• APA style formatting and referencing will be used.
• Any plagiarism found will will result in an automatic zero (0) for this paper.
• You are going to do this term paper in pairs or individually.
Term Paper Guidelines
Cover Page : Introduction: State the topic to be discussed. Explain the significance of the topic
or the issue, focus, or problem about the topic you plan to discuss.
Include
Body: Explain the focus of the topic chosen. Provide all of the necessary and relevant
