All About an Animal You Like

Questions to Think About:

- What does the animal look like?

- Where does it live?

- What does it eat?

- How does it move?

- Why do you like it?

Sample passage:

Cheetahs are some of the most amazing animals in the world.

They are known for being the fastest animals on land, able to run up to 100
kilometers per hour! This incredible speed helps them catch their prey
quickly and escape from danger when needed.
In addition, cheetahs live in Africa and some parts of Asia,
usually in grassy plains and open areas where they can see their prey from
far away. They have yellowish fur covered with black spots that help them
blend into the tall grass. This camouflage makes it easier for them to sneak
up on animals without being seen.
Furthermore, cheetahs eat meat, mostly hunting animals like
deer, gazelles, and rabbits. Unlike lions, cheetahs hunt alone and rest during
the hottest part of the day to save energy. Baby cheetahs are called cubs, and
their mothers take care of them until they are strong enough to hunt by
themselves.
In conclusion, cheetahs are strong, fast, and
smart. Cheetahs are truly special animals with amazing skills that help them
survive in the wild.
2. How to Stay Healthy
Questions to Think About:

- What foods are healthy?

- Why is exercise good for us?

- Why is sleep important?

- How can we stay clean?

Sample Passage:

Tobegin with, if we want to feel good and do our

best every day, we need to stay healthy. Being healthy
means taking care of our bodies and making good choices.
When we are healthy, we have more energy, we feel happy,
and we can focus better in school.

One important way to stay healthy is to eat good

food like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. These foods
give us vitamins and nutrients that help our bodies grow.
Drinking water instead of soda is also a healthy choice
because water keeps us hydrated.

Another way to stay healthy is to move our bodies

every day. Playing outside, running, and walking help keep
our hearts and muscles strong. It is also important to get
enough sleep at night so our bodies can rest and be ready
for the next day. Staying clean, like washing our hands,
helps us stay safe from germs.

In conclusion, making small healthy choices every

day makes a big difference. When we eat well, stay active,
and take care of our bodies, we feel our best and are ready
to learn and have fun.

. Why Reading is Important

Questions to Think About:

- What can we learn from books?

- Why is reading fun?

- How does it help with writing and thinking?

Sample passage:

Reading is one of the best things kids can do every

day. It helps us learn about the world, grow our imagination, and
become better writers. When we make time to read, we are
exercising our brains and learning new things without even realizing
it.

In addition, when we read books, we discover

exciting facts about animals, people, places, and science. Also,
reading stories takes us on amazing adventures, even when we
are sitting at home. We can visit faraway lands, explore space, or
dive deep under the ocean, all through books.

Moreover, reading helps us improve our vocabulary,

spelling, and writing skills. It makes us better at thinking and
solving problems too. For example, when I read, I learn new
words and ideas that help me understand my schoolwork and
write better essays.

In conclusion, reading is important because it helps

our minds grow and opens the door to new knowledge and fun.
Everyone should make reading a daily habit

healthier by keeping our bodies active. When we play
sports, we move a lot, which is good for our hearts and
muscles. This helps us stay in shape and avoid getting sick
easily.

Next, playing sports like soccer, basketball, or

swimming teaches us important life skills. We learn how to
be part of a team, follow rules, and practice discipline. For
example, when I play with my soccer team, I learn how to
pass the ball, listen to my coach, and try my best to win.

Also, sports are a great way to make new friends and

feel more confident. Playing outdoors gives us fresh air, and
being with others makes us feel happy. Sports can also help
us reduce stress and feel relaxed after a busy day.
In conclusion, sports are fun, healthy, and help us
grow in many ways—both in our bodies and in our minds.
Everyone should try to play a sport they enjoy!
