AIIMS - AUTLS - Provider Course

(AIIMS Advanced Ultrasound in Trauma & Life Support)
Empowering Trauma Resuscitation-The ABCDE way on 6Th & 7Th SEPT,2019

VENUE : SMT.KASHIBAI NAVALE MEDICAL COLLEGE NARHE PUNE-41

AUDITORIUM 5TH FLOOR COLLEGE BUILDING

Care of Poly-Trauma victims has always been challenging in Emergency Department

and Intensive Care Setting. It becomes even more demanding when you perform
Trauma Resuscitation and Advance Cardiac Life Support protocol in a blinded
fashion. Immediate ultrasound at point of care has been typically described as an
extension of the palpating hand. It functions as a “Visual Stethoscope” during initial
physical examination and provides both anatomic and functional information
complementary to the conventional physical examination.
Why the ABCDE way? A-AIRWAY kills before B-BREATHING and B kills before
C-CIRCULATION. So prioritizing order of assessment cum management with
purpose to Treat First That Kills First Saves More Lives. The course will cover all the
critical components of Trauma Resuscitation including Emergency Eye, Airway,
Chest, Cardiac and Abdominal Sonography involved with Trauma Resuscitation. This
requires plenty of hands on training.
