Day 1:

 Revise the sounds of all alphabets and explaining about vowels and consonants.
 Introducing the new sounds as in the below table

Consonants:

The 21 alphabets other than the vowels (a e I o u) are called as consonants. They are pronounced
with the blockage of air using tongue, teeth, or lips, when spoken.

Long Vowel sounds:

1. Long vowels are sounds made when a vowel is pronounced as the letter's name, that is the
name of the alphabet.
2. They are the opposite of short vowel sounds, because in short vowel sounds, we say the
phonic sound of the alphabet
3. Eg… a as in bake, cake ; e as in scene, team ; i as in kite, time ; o as in rope, cone ; u as
in flute, tune

 Revise the phonic sounds of all alphabets

When K meets I, E, or Y,
And K meets the other three,

 When magic e is at the end of the word, it is usually silent and makes the vowel before it to
say its name (ie) long vowel sound
 Some sight words don’t follw the rule of magic e, such as…..
