1. Scope:
This method statement covers the supply, install, and finish the acoustical suspended ceiling system
with 19 mm tiles on a concealed KCS grid as per manufacturer’s recommendations, approved drawings
and specifications.
2. Reference:
Contract Document- Technical specification.
As per BOQ item
Relevant GFC Drawings – Architectural.
3. Materials and Tools:
Ceiling Tiles, 19 mm thick KCS Ultima Tegular
Threaded rods/clutch wire
Screws, anchors, and fixing accessories
Drill machine, screwdriver, level meter, measuring tape
4. Personnel protective equipment:
Proper PPE’S shall be Provide for all respective workers and regularly well monitoring and kept good
condition.
Head Protection.
Foot/Toe Protection.
Safety Jacket.
Hand gloves, Nose mask.
5. Safety requirements:
Provide sufficient lighting for night working hours.
Proper housekeeping is done.
Ensuring electrical equipment is not faulty or damaged prior to use.
Ensuring power cables not lying on water.
6. Execution procedure:
Verify ceiling levels as per architectural drawings, check all MEP works above ceiling are complete.
Mark the layout on the existing (true) ceiling as per the approved drawings
Mark suspension points and perimeter lines
Fix KCS wall angles at the marked ceiling level using screws at max. 450 mm c/c.
Fix M6 anchor fasteners into soffit at 1200 mm max spacing.
Hang 2.5 mm dia hanger wire, suspend main runners at 1200 mm spacing, Adjust level.
Insert 1200 mm cross tees between main runners at 600 mm intervals to form 1200 × 600 mm module.
Insert 600 mm cross tees centrally between 1200 mm tees to form 600 × 600 mm grid.
Provide independent support for any cut cross tee >600 mm.
Place 19 mm Ultima Tegular tiles into the grid ensuring correct orientation
Ensure joints are flush and visually aligned.
Check level and module alignment, clean the surface with a dry cloth or vacuum.
Remove debris and dispose of packaging responsibly.
