What is MEP?
The Most Essential Learning Competencies (MEP) ensure that learners master foundational skills
and knowledge aligned with national standards while optimizing classroom time and resources.
Purpose:
- Focus on high-impact learning outcomes
- Address gaps caused by pandemic learning losses
- Promote equity and quality in basic education
Accomplishments & Wins
For School Year 2024–2025, Trento Central Elementary School achieved the following:
✔ 100% implementation of MELCs across grade levels
✔ Training completed for 98% of teaching staff on contextualizing MELCs
✔ Developed localized learning materials aligned with MELCs
✔ Strengthened teacher mentoring and coaching programs
✔ 85% learner performance improvement in key subjects (Math, English, Science)
✔ Successfully conducted Musabaqah Contest
