Two New Configurations Expand AG 3100 Gateway

Available with NSE Version 2008.2, the new AG 3100 Entry and AG 3100 Small Venue Gateway configurations offer an attractive alternative for our customers operating public access venues with limited user count and monetization requirements. Each gateway alternative provides a focused NSE configuration designed to fit specific customer environments. This new level of granularity will address the following customer requirements: o Simple set-up o Easy adaptation of gateway function and price to fit customer needs o Perfect for free internet service providing controls on access such as bandwidth management o Home page redirect capabilities to show location based information or branding The two new configurations are offered as a promotion through December 31, 2008. The flexibility of these two new offerings is particularly evident in the upgrade paths available with this announcement. A customer choosing to start with the AG 3100 Entry Gateway can easily upgrade it to a Small or the current Medium Venue Gateway to acquire higher levels of NSE functionality as needs change. This can be done at any time, even after the promotion expires.

AG 3100 Entry Gateway Features

This configuration is best suited for small hotspots or single cell sites offering free high speed internet access (HSIA) to the pubic where only local branding is needed. For example, this configuration installed in combination with 1 or 2 wireless access points can provide wireless coverage for smaller venues such as a coffee shop or hotel lobby servicing the public mobile user. The AG 3100 Entry Gateway includes the AG 3100 hardware platform and the NSE Entry Feature Package with select functions (see Feature Summary table below). This Gateway supports a maximum of 50 concurrent users. Options include the Credit Card module; upgrade paths to the other AG 3100 configurations and Nomadix Support Services (NSS). The AG 3100 Entry Gateway can be upgraded to the AG 3100 Small Venue or to the Medium Venue configuration. Upgrade to the Small Venue configuration requires purchase of the AG 3100 Small Venue bundle. This modification reconfigures the NSE on the AG 3100 Entry to the functionality of the AG 3100 Small Venue Gateway and support for 50 concurrent users. The AG 3100 Entry Gateway can also be reconfigured to an AG 3100 Medium Venue Gateway by purchasing the AG 3100 Medium Venue bundle. This modification reconfigures the NSE on the AG 3100 Entry to the functionality of the AG 3100 Medium Venue Gateway and support for 100 concurrent users. The key features for the AG 3100 Entry Venue include: Plug and Play Connectivity for up to 50 concurrent users

A billing alternative for public visitor access by installing the optional Credit Card module Provides an internal web server but without redirection to a remote web server Limited provisioning allowing branding using a local portal page

AG 3100 Small Venue Gateway Features

This configuration provides increased user count for venues wishing to offer free or credit card only billing plans for HSIA. Perfectly sized for 2/3 star hotels, the NSE Small Venue Feature package includes home page redirect which is suitable for those venues where centralized branding is desired, such as a property within a hotel chain. The AG 3100 Small Venue Gateway provides the AG 3100 Access Gateway hardware platform and adds functionality with the NSE Small Venue Feature package (see Feature Summary table below). Base user count is 75. Priced options include the Credit Card module, a 25 user count upgrade to a maximum of 100 concurrent users and upgrade to the AG 3100 Medium Venue Gateway. Re-configuring the NSE Small Venue package to the AG 3100 Medium Venue Gateway requires purchase of the NSE Medium Venue Feature package upgrade plus the 25 user count option. This modification re-configures the AG 3100 Gateway to a base user count of 100 concurrent users. The key features for the AG 3100 Small Venue include: Hassle Free Connectivity for up to 100 concurrent users A single billing alternative for public visitor access by installing optional Credit Card module An internal web server or remote web server via redirection but without parameter passing Provisioning using home page redirection to a remote server providing a source of tailored user Interfaces for branding the user experience

Limitations
Nomadix Gateways provide an important mechanism for inserting business intelligence into the network. They connect mobile users in public access venues to the internet, enable monetization and deliver a consistent, reliable guest / employee experience. This promotion allows customers to more easily tailor NSE features and modules to promulgate and enforce unique policies and address particular requirements for session management, branding and control. When purchasing the two new AG 3100 configurations please take note of the following guidelines: A higher level configuration cannot be returned to a lower one because NSE function can only be increased between levels, not reversed The Entry option supports 50 concurrent users. Additional users can be accommodated by purchasing an upgrade to the NSE Small or Medium Venue package along with required user count upgrades. The resulting NSE configurations and platform can support from 75 to 200 concurrent users respectively RADIUS clients are not supported on either the AG 3100 Entry or Small Venue Gateways A Small Venue Gateway cannot support more than 100 concurrent users. The Small Venue Gateway can be upgraded to the AG 3100 Medium Venue Gateway by purchasing the NSE Small

to Medium Venue upgrade and the 25 user count option (if required). The resulting Medium Venue configuration can then be upgraded in 50 user increments to support up to 200 concurrent users The Entry and Small Venue configurations only support the Credit Card Module. The Hospitality, Quality of Service (QoS) and High Availability modules are NOT available on these two configurations. Support for these modules can ONLY be obtained by upgrading to the AG 3100 Medium Venue Gateway
