Guidelines for Environmental Science Project Report
1. Structure of the Report
A standard project report should include the following sections:

2. Table of Contents
○ Chapters with page numbers.
3. Abstract / Executive Summary (about 200–300 words)
○ Brief overview of the topic, objective, methodology, and findings.
4. Introduction
○ Background of the topic.
○ Importance/relevance in environmental context.
○ Objectives of the project.
5. Review of Literature
○ Summary of earlier studies, articles, or theories related to the topic.
6. Methodology
○ How you carried out the project.
○ Data collection (survey, field visit, experiments, secondary data, etc.).
7. Observations / Data Presentation
○ Present findings with tables, charts, graphs, maps, or photographs.
8. Analysis & Discussion
● Interpret results.
● Relate findings with environmental concepts, policies, or case studies.
● Highlight issues, impacts, and possible causes.
11.Conclusion
● Summarize key findings.
● Link back to objectives.
12.Recommendations / Suggestions
● Practical and sustainable solutions for environmental problems.
14.Future Scope (optional)
● What further research or action can be taken.
2. Formatting Guidelines
● Font: Times New Roman / Arial, size 12.
● Spacing: 1.5 line spacing.
● Margins: 1 inch on all sides.
● Headings: Use bold for main headings, italics for sub-headings.
● Length: Usually 20–25 pages.
● Page Numbers: Bottom-center or bottom-right.
3. Content Guidelines
● Keep it simple, clear, and logical.
● Use data, facts, and case studies to strengthen your report.
● Add maps, images, or field photographs if possible.
● Avoid plagiarism—write in your own words and cite all sources.
● Ensure scientific accuracy when discussing environmental concepts.
