PRAISE GOD 2025 IS MY NEW ERA YEAR!
IT’S MY PRIVILEGE THIS EVENING TO BE TAKING US ON THIS SHORT
EXHORTATION AND I WANT TO APPRECIATE OUR DADDY THE RESIDENT
PASTOR FOR THIS GREAT PRIVILEGE. DADDY THANK YOU SIR!
PLEASE SHALL WE BOW OUR HEAD FOR A SHORT PRAYER: (Father we
thank you for your word that is about to come forth, Holy Spirit please come
and take over in Jesus name. Amen)
Today I shall be briefly exhorting the Children on a short teaching
that has been titled: BECOMING A CHILD THAT FEARS GOD.
Our Bible Text is: Psalm 112:1-10, It can also mean, Blessed is the child
that fears God).
Our Bible Character for this teaching is: Joseph.
*Now, to fear God means to reverence God. To reverence God means to have
great respect, great love and honor for God that is deeply felt and outwardly
demonstrated. We can see that in the life of Joseph who claimed to fear God
and he also demonstrated it in. so many ways- (Gen) Any child who claims to
have the fear of God but can't demonstrate it to God does not fear him at all.
NOW WE SHALL BE LOOKING AT SOME WAYS TO DEMONSTRATE THAT
WE FEAR GOD.
Love- If you fear God, you will love God and those around you because you
can't claim to fear the God you don't love. -when you fear God, you will
love the things of God, for example you will always love to read your Bible,
you will always love to pray, you will love listening to godly songs instead
of worldly music, you will keep godly friends and not follow bad friends who
are involved in evil, you will love the house of God, your parents will not be
forcing you to come to church but instead you will love coming to church.
Also, you will love your neighbors as you love yourself, that is you will not
plan evil against anybody and you will not do what will hurt other people or
do what will cause other people pain.
Respect - When we fear God we will have deep respect for God and for
those around us. For example, when we fear God we will not behave
anyhow in church because we will always remember that the church is the
house of God. We will not be gisting and browsing with our phones when
our teachers are preaching, we will respect our teachers in church and see
them as servants of God so we will treat them with respect and not fight
them or be rude to them. Also if we fear God, we will not dress the way we
like to church, instead we will dress decently as kings and queens to honor
God our father. Also if we fear God we will have respect for those around
us, we will not disrespect our elders and talk to people anyhow, no but
instead we will respect people because that is the only way people will also
respect us for respect is reciprocal.
Obedience - When you have the fear of God, you will always obey his
word and do them, you will put every preaching you hear in church into
practice. For example, the Bible says, Children honor your father and
mother and it shall be well with you, so if you want all to be well with you,
you must honor your parents, you must not disobey them. Also the bible
says in everything we should give God thanks, always complaining and not
thanking God is disobeying the word of God. Always be grateful to God,
appreciate him for giving you u life, appreciate him even for the family you
came from, do you know that there are so many children without parents
or any relative who are roaming around the streets and even in
orphanages. When you thank him for the family you come from, God will
then bless your family. Stop complaining when your parents can't afford to
pay your school fees or buy you good clothes, instead thank God and pray
to him to bless your parents and God will hear you.
BENEFITS OF HAVING THE FEAR OF GOD.
Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding (Prov. 9:10): When you
have the fear of God, God will give you Wisdom, Knowledge and
Understanding. This will make you excellent in all you do, you will never be
confused even when your teachers teach you. Just like Joseph, you will be
highly intelligent and very wise because God himself will be revealing
things that nobody understands to you. (Gen 41:38-39)
Holiness-(Gen 39:9) The fear of God will empower you to stay away from
evil just like Joseph, it will help you to live a pure life that pleases God
because you will always remember that even in the secret when nobody is
seeing you, God is always watching you and you will not easily fall into sin,
it will help you to live a holy life because this is your only guarantee into
heaven for without holiness, no one can see God.
Blessings and Enthronement - (Gen 41:40-44) The fear of God will
command God's blessings upon you and when God blesses you, it breaks
every limitations and curses over your life and destiny. For the blessings of
the Lord will enthrone you, thereby making you great in life. It will make
you among the top in your class, you will become an example for other
children to follow. Just like Joseph, wherever you find yourself, you will
always be at the topmost top and sorrow will be far from you. And Lastly,
Long-life - (Prov. 10:27) When u have the fear of God, God will give you
long-life so that you can enjoy all the blessings he will be blessing you with
and no sickness or devil will be able to cut your life short.
NOW, WHY DONT WE ALL RISE TO OUR FEET AS WE WELCOME OUR
FATHER THE RESIDENT PASTOR.
