1 Introduction
1.1 Purpose
The purpose of this document is to identify the contents of the released package including defects
fixed, key changes, compatibility issues, known anomalies, workarounds, etc.
The approval of this document corresponds to the release of WIN-PAK 4.9.5 SP1 Build 1095.8.2

Database Server machines from WIN-PAK 4.7 Release since SQL 2016 does
not support.
4. Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 & Windows Server 2012
R2 OS not supported as WIN-PAK Database Server machines from WIN-PAK
4.8.1 Release since SQL 2019 does not support.
5. ENGLISH SQL alone with latest service pack.
6. Older SQL engines like MSDE, SQL2005, SQL 2008 are strictly not
supported.
Upgrade only supported through B&R(Backup and restore) tool from WIN-
PAK 4.8.x and 4.9.x with VMS.
Direct Upgrade of WIN-PAK software from lower version to higher version
WIN-PAK Software
is not recommended and not qualified.
User should uninstall or fresh the empty snap if using VM and the last
version of WIN-PAK and have to install 4.9.5 freshly.

Note: Help document by Pressing F1 will not be available for PRO4000 panel related contents, and it will be updated
in next coming releases.
While installing WIN-PAK 4.9.5 with VMS in Windows Server 2022, we need to disable Windows built in virus & threat
protection features and including the Windows Firewall. Enabling security system and threat protection
features block some of the binaries to copy.

3 Installation Tips

3.1.1.1 WIN-PAK Upgrade Procedure to WIN-PAK 4.9.4

WIN-PAK 4.9.4 will support database upgrades from the
4.8 Series or higher. WIN-PAK 4.7 or lower requires the
database be converted by the Honeywell professional
services team.
