Voice Recording Guidelines

To ensure high-quality and usable recordings, please follow the instructions below
carefully. Recordings that do not meet these standards will not be approved or
paid.

Recording Requirements

1. Noise-Free Environment

○ Record in a quiet space with no background noise (e.g., fans, traffic,

people talking, music, etc.).

○ Avoid recording in echoey or open spaces.

2. Clear and Loud Speech

○ Speak clearly and loudly.

○ Avoid mumbling or speaking too softly.

○ Keep your phone at a proper distance from your mouth (not too far or
too close).

3. No Interruptions or Other Voices

○ You must be the only person speaking in the recording.

○ No one else should talk, laugh, or make noise in the background.

4. Review and Payment Policy

○ All recordings will be reviewed for quality.

○ If the recording has:

■ Background noise
■ Low volume or unclear speech
■ More than one person speaking
your work will be rejected, and you will not be paid.
How to ensure noise-free, high-quality, loud & clear audio
recording?

1. Noise-Free Environment

● Record in a quiet space. Avoid fans, TVs, traffic, people talking, or other
background sounds.

● Examples of good setups:

○ Record inside a car with the engine off – cars are naturally soundproof.

○ Sit inside a closet or small room with clothes or curtains – they absorb
sound and reduce echo.

○ Turn off fans, ACs, and other electronics that make humming noises.

2. Clear and Loud Speech

● Speak clearly, not too fast, and keep your voice steady and loud.

● Keep your phone 6–8 inches (15–20 cm) from your mouth – not too close to
avoid distortion, and not too far to avoid sounding quiet.

● Hold the phone at chest or chin level when speaking.

Call Rejection Criteria

1. Background noise

a. Any audible background sound (traffic, TV, fans, other voices, echo, etc.)
causes rejection.
b. If the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is below 29 dB, the call is automatically
discarded.

2. Minimal participation

a. You average fewer than ≈ 60 words per minute or speak for less than ≈
35 % of the call’s voiced duration.

3. Low or distorted volume

a. Average mic level is below –26 dBFS or peaks are clipped/distorted.

4. Excess fillers or low-value content

a. If more than 12 % of your spoken words are fillers/non-substantive terms
(e.g., “hmm”, “umm”, “acha”, “okay”, “like”) or the dialogue lacks clear
context and meaningful content, the call is rejected.

5. Reading from a script

a. The conversation must be spontaneous; any sign of read speech leads
to rejection.

6. Partner-side failure

a. If your conversation partner breaches any of these rules, their track is
unusable and your track is rejected as well.

7. Every call should be in between 7 minutes to maximum 20 minutes

exceeding this we will not accept the call
