1.1 Enabling the digital workplace
In a distributed work environment where remote and teleworking have become something normal,
real-time communications are the necessary link between people. It helps them be part of the group
made of colleagues, customers, partners and suppliers.
OmniPCX Enterprise Purple enables enterprise communications continuity from anywhere and in
any situation; from any terminal (PC, mobile, deskphone). Moreover, it enables voice communications
in cloud-based collaboration platforms such as Rainbow by Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise.
Contrary to the prediction that took place a few years ago announcing the death of the desk phone in
favor of “PC-only” devices, a continued demand has enabled us to differentiate our phone offering.
This includes ease of use and HD audio quality on the fixed desk phones, which go beyond telephony
and allow the integration of automation solutions, for example, in hotel rooms and for on-site
mobility. ALE offers a comprehensive range of desk phones from entry level to industry-leading smart
devices. Our product family provides powerful telephony features delivered by our communications
servers to better serve the enterprise’s needs. For on-site mobility, a double-digit growth has been
recorded for two years in a row for the DECT handsets range. The trend is toward openness, with the
possibility to enable these phones to use industry-standard Session Initiation Protocols (SIPs).
