1. This paper consists of sections A, B and C with a total of eleven (11) questions.
2. Answer ALL the questions in section A and B and any two (2) questions from section C.
3. Section A carries sixteen (16) marks, section B carries fifty four (54) marks and section C
carries thirty (30) marks.
4. Map extract of MVOMERO (sheet 165/4) is provided.
5. All drawings should be in pencil.
6. Programmable calculator and cellular phones are not allowed in the examination room.
7. All answers should be written in the answer booklet(s) provided.

3. Study carefully the map extract of MVOMERO sheet 165/4 provided and answer questions that
follows.
(a) With two evidence from the map identify two ways that used to show relief of mapped area.

(b) Gamalie is a worker at WAMI RIVER FARM but he live in Kibaoni street at grid reference
259004, he usually walk to farm at grid reference 305932. Calculate the distance that Gamalie
will cover in a day from home to work and back to home in km.

(c) By giving evidence highlights two economic activities that might be taking place in Mvomero.

(d) Given MVOMERO sheet 165/4 indicate the content have either increased or decreased, on
previous sheet of MVOMERO 165/3. With three points explain factor that may affect the
content of a map.

10. Assume your in an Urban planning team. How would you advice the government of Tanzania to

11. Most of country side of Tanzania is endowed with forest of different species that are essential in
different ways, the increase uses of charcoal and firewood deplete forest resources. Assume you
have given opportunity to visit those areas how would you educate them on value of forest by six
points.
